Madison - At least four FBI agents visited the home of a former top aide to Gov. Scott Walker.
The home on Dunning St. on Madison's east side is listed in City of Madison property records as belonging to Cynthia A. Archer, the former deputy administration secretary to the Republican governor.
"We're doing a law enforcement action," one of the FBI agents told a reporter.
He didn't identify himself or provide further comment but confirmed that he and three others were with the FBI and that sheriff's deputies were also involved.
One of the agents had a large camera and two of them were wearing latex gloves. They spent time in the backyard and then went into the house. One also removed a large banker's box and put it in the truck of a car.
A neighbor said about a dozen law enforcement officers arrived sometime before 7 a.m. They left at around 10 a.m.
No one answered the door.

Don't worry about me ,,, I get audited EVERY YEAR anyway .
Me too. The guy has a set, that’s for sure.
We got a “Friends of Scott Walker” fundraising letter recently. Much to my surprise, my non-Freeper husband said “write him a check for 100 dollars and send it to him.”
Even non-Freeping cheeseheads are impressed with Walker.
That is only the second time my husband has ever told me to send a check to a political person, the last time was summer of 2008 after he heard Sarah Palin speak as McLame’s newly named VP running mate.
Scott Walker is also one of my heros.
If my property taxes actually go down in the next few years...or even stay level...I’ll be even more impressed.
Yep... seems like they are going after someone for being political online while at work.
You married the right man; hold on to him, LOL!
Whispered: Does he have a 50-something brother? ;)
No brothers.
I was really surprised how much he wanted to give money to Scott.
He works for the state, and is very supportive of Walker and on the part on the form where you put what you do, he made a point of telling them he worked there.
I added a note to say keep up the great work, Scott. And a smiley face too.
A few days later, I asked why he was so insistant on sending money and not just 25 bucks either.
Turns out some of his co-workers were complaining about things, and these are people who make way more than he does and they still can’t be pleased and don’t want to help the state have realistic public employee benefits.
There are some nice people he works with, but in general of course he is with a lot of liberals there in Madison.
