In a interview with Chicagos Don Wade & Roma radio show this morning, Congresswoman Jan Schakowsky claimed that Americans arent entitled to all of their own money.
Toward the end of a wide-ranging interview, the hosts played a clip from this weeks Republican Presidential Debate where California teenager Tyler Hinsley asked, Of every dollar that I earn, how much do you think I deserve to keep? Co-host Don Wade asked Schakowsky to answer the same question.
After some initial back-and-forth, she replied, Ill put it this way, you dont deserve to keep all of it. Its not a question of deserving, because what government is, is those things that we decide to do together.
Despite the hosts persistence, Schakowsky declined to answer what percentage of a persons income they deserved to keep. I pay at a 35% tax rate, happy to do it, she explained when the hosts persisted with their question. She again declined to say how much more she would personally be willing to pay.

I think a better way to look at the question is “How much of our hard earned money does the government deserve to take from us?”
Taxes on income - in any form - are immoral.
Period.
We either have private property, or we don’t.
Time to hit the “reset” button.
The people in her congressional district must be mentally retarded to keep putting her back in office.
She doesn’t pay at a 35% rate, the liar. It is only on her AGI of $379,150 and above. Her effective rate is probably around 20%.

The more she, and her ilk speak, the better
This speaks volumes. Is that Charlie Trie making the liberal sandwich?
you’re preaching to the choir!

If the choir is the only group listening, then we’ll have to hope they can do more than just sing.
This is a great question to ask any liberal. Of every dollar I earn how much do I deserve to keep?
Liberals are programmed to say that you should pay “more” because you are not paying your “fair share.” So I ask, “what is the fair share I should pay”.
I’m not kidding when I say no one has been able to answer this question.
Some typical responses, and my response to them:
1. That depends on how much you earn.
“OK give me an example.” or
“Assume I’m in the highest tax bracket”
2. You shouldn’t object to just x% more.
“OK. But tell me the right amount. What is my fair share.”
3. I don’t know how much it is but it’s more than 35%.
“If you don’t know how much it is, how do you know it’s more than 35%?” or
“I now pay almost 50% (in New York City). Is it more than 50%? How much more.
If anyone is able to get the actual answer to the question “What’s my fair share” please post it!!
No one is stopping her from giving the government everything she makes, minus a small stipend to live on. I wonder why she isn't doing it?
God bless the Tea Party Patriots for even asking the question and putting it into the national debate.
More on the Hinsley question, including his F&F appearance this AM.

Tyler Hinsley: Napa TEA Party Teens’ tax question stole the GOP debate

But how would you respond if they just said "If you make more than, e.g., $100,000 per annum, the state should take 90%!" without blinking an eye?
Regards,
That attitude is no different than an armed robber’s.
One benefit from being robbed by a thug - you’ll not see him again.
With the government they stand in the alley every pay day.
That is going to make one heck of a commercial against her next election!
‘..No one is stopping her from giving the government everything she makes, minus a small stipend to live on. I wonder why she isn’t doing it?....’
Exactly! And this goes for Warren Buffet and all those who keep saying we need to share the wealth. If they began with their own wealth maybe we could take them more seriously.
She said she was happy to pay what she is paying...she should pay more and be positively orgasmic.
I’ll bet she does more than take the standard deeduction but if she wants to pay more, forego the deductions all together and just pay pay pay on the gross.
But neither she nor any of them do that.
Because they are hypocritical.
Because they are arrogant scum.
