Results from NY-9, formerly known as The Weiner Seat, will be posted here as soon as I get ‘em. If you see them first, pop them in comments. If the Dem wins, the race is an endorsement of Obama and a sea change in the political environment.

If the Republican wins, the race is purely local and has no meaning in national politics.

Doncha’ just wonder how many quickly made write-in ballots are in someone’s trunk waiting to be used???? I hope the Stupid Party is ready for that kind of fraud!

I’d bet on the fraud of the Democrats to pull out a win;

Very possible. But voter fraud takes time, and money. The Dems may not have had enough of a heads up to organize it. Plus, in Texas anyway, the folks who do the fraud on the ground, are not at all unhappy to see an occasional loss, when they haven't been paid to create large numbers of votes. It just shows their utility to the party. I put this in the Scott Brown category. Taking the seat is one thing. Keeping it is another thing altogether. Which is encouraging for tonight.

170 in Brooklyn, 342 in Queens.
