Have a house in a flood prone area? Get flooded? Others peoples tax dollars will be used to get you out of your mess by making it the towns problem.

Sounds like a great investment.
Do they also bail out folks who had a really bad day at Foxwoods?

It is already the towns problem. Why did the City allow the flood prone property to be subdivided and built upon. Every place I know of has to have a bunch of permits in order to build a house. And, the permits usually cost a lot of money.
BTW, that is why the Federal Government stepped in and is enforcing floodplain/floodway rules now. And there are plenty of people here that say people should be able to build wherever they want to. Damned if you do and damned if you don’t.

"Pay me, and let me out of here. I've been here since I was 5 years old. This was my parents house I have so many memories here, and I'm willing to let it all go," he said.So how did your parents survive living there for so long, and if it was their house, isn't it all paid for?
