Feinstein, Sanchez caught in Solyndra for Dem donors
SFGate: Token Conservative ^ | 9/13/11 | Debra J. Saunders

Dianne Feinstein told Politico that her campaign was "wiped out" by Democratic political operative Kinde Durkee, whom the FBI arrested last week.

DiFi explained that Durkee worked on her 1992, 1994 and 2006 campaign. And: "I trusted her implicitly." Worse:

Feinstein said she and her campaign staff have been unable to access all their bank records at this point because Durkee alone controlled access to the account, which has made it difficult for them to assess how much money is gone.

Two other similarly dissatisfied clients are California Democratic Reps. Susan Davis, who called Durkee "the Bernie Madoff of campaign treasurers," and Loretta Sanchez.

Either Saunders brain broke wind, or it was the editor's.

The story lacks a cohesive flow, leaving too many obvious
questions open to interpretation.

To wit, the big question should be "Why do *we* keep sending
these idiots to Congress (and the state legislature, etc) to dole
out our tax dollars when they couldn't be bothered to check on
their own financial affairs, even after there was strong
evidence that something was amiss?"

Durkee can claim that the money went for consumer items and thus was jobogenic - a better use than that intended (the destruction of the exceptional USA).

Better yet, she can claim she stimulated the economy.

No honor amongst thieves and all that. Surely Sanchez and Feinstein will be looking for a government bailout to replenish their “lost” funds. They’ll probably get it too.

"Feinstein said she and her campaign staff have been unable to access all their bank records at this point because Durkee alone controlled access to the account, which has made it difficult for them to assess how much money is gone. "

Feinstein is that stupid??? Or is this a cover story to cover for something else?

This is the best news I’ve heard in the last month. I don’t care how many times a form of it shows up here. It makes me smile every time.
