Greta Interview with Palin and Bachman: Disgusting innuendo about Perry
Self | Self

Posted on 09/12/2011 7:40:37 PM PDT by indianrightwinger

I saw the GOP debate and the Greta interview with Palin and Bachman. I am absolutely against Perry's mandate of the Gardasil vaccine. On policy grounds. Period.

But, to see the two ladies pile on with corruption charges against Perry was truly disgusting. If they have any proof that Perry mandated the vaccine to profit Merck, I am the first one who wants it. And, if proof emerges that he did so, I will be the first one to revoke my support for him.

It happens in the industry all the time. Acquaintances get you an audience. So, in this case, the fact that Perry's previous staffer was a lobbyist must have gotten the meeting. A meeting to hear about this wonderous cancer curing drug. Nothing corrupt about it. Is there more to the reason Perry made such a call? Possible/Probable. Evidence of it? None so far.

Come on. Do Palin and Bachman have to resort to gutter politics to get themselves better positioned?

I despise obama. I support Perry. He can beat obama - Palin can’t. Bachman can’t. I’m actually a proud member of the tea party in monmouth county. I’m also a realist. You can’t win the general election with conservatives alone. That’s a fact.

The state has a public health interest in vaccines that prevent the spread of infectious diseases that can be spread by casual contact.

The same cannot be said for the HPV vaccine.

To the main post...It could be his own democrat ways he just can’t get rid of. Just kidding. That was not a good decision on Perry’s part/money or profit/ no gains/it’s the appearance. Get the best conservative that we can trust the most. All of them will have some flaws. Let the discussion come out. If it’s meant to be Perry’s, he will be standing. JMO.

Rick in Pa hit Perry hard on the same issue- do you feel contempt for him too?

Accusing a guy of being a crook without presenting anything more than very weak circumstantial evidence ($5000 donation) is a bit more than “vetting”.

Zachry and their Spanish partner, Cintra.

Google those names with Perry.

Old FR thread:

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-chat/1664180/posts

Although the TTC hasn’t been built, due to public outcry, parts of it are still planned. Cintra Zachry was awarded a $3.5 million design contract in 2005 for the I-35 segment and $1.3 billion in 2006 to build SH 130. There were other contracts.

Perry got $35,000 in contributions to his 2007 campaign from Cintra Zachry, IIRC. You can look it up.

Greta’s hubby works/worked for Palin, thus, is extraordinarily soft ball with her. Sarah credited herself for leading the theme on “crony capitalism” among the candidates, and not very gracefully.

“The whole Gardasil flap is distinctly bush league. Anyone who believes this will hurt Perry is destined for disappointment. It won’t. Almost nobody cares. “

Most Americans have no problems with protecting girls from STD’s because they know they can’t control their kids but they don’t want them to die from cancer just because they made a mistake.

The Gardasil story in Texas (PerryCARE)
is an indicator of the MIND of the RINO, like Rick Perry.

Medicine controlled by the State (PerryCARE, HillaryCARE,
RomneyCARE, and ObamaCARE) is wrong and immoral.

“No political cross dressers like Perry.
NO RINOs.”

"Rick was not here. "

I heard part of the Palin interview and frankly, I’ve lost a lot of respect for Sarah Palin.

essentially

Essentially is not a quote. Greta made a pithy, headline-ready restatement as if they were Perry's words. At least she made a factual error along with her deliberate misquote so maybe it won't be very useful to the left. Let's just watch and see what gets into media releases, his words or Greta's.

It is a fair question. The silly hype hand-wringing to benefit their own political future is revealing - and questionable as well.

“The economy is far more important. “

Unless, like one Freeper, your kid goes into seizures. Then the economy ain’t really an issue for you.

You can give your ‘Conservativegreatgrandkids’ all the problematic drugs you want. I don’t need or want government, Republican or Democrat, telling me that I have to shoot up my kid. And the mindset Perry displayed in this fiasco is freaking pathetic regardless of the cash involved.

It's an indicator of his mind, is it? What does it indicate? That he believes good public health policy involves using the lever of public education to get beneficial vaccines administered as widely as possible? That sure is shocking. How unconservative! Grow up. Everybody believes that. There's no principle at stake here and no evidence of any wrongdoing. This is a classic tempest in a teapot. It has no legs. It was boring the first time it was mentioned and it's been flogged to death.
Move along. There's nothing to see here except a couple of desperate female politicians beating a dead horse. Not a pretty picture.

Nothing about this raises questions in your mind? Does the word "vetting" mean anything to you?

Toll Roads are capitalistic and charge user fees.

They would be, if they were privately owned and operated.

But what we get is the worst kind of crony capitalism where companies get a lease to operate a toll road, which is still owned by government. Worst possible combination.

If we want to go with all toll roads, sell off the highway system to the highest bidder.

I’m having trouble with Fox news website. So..you actually ‘heard’ Palin?

Did she mention Perry specifically by name regarding the crony capitalism?
