Oh, OK. That's all? Nuts to the bipod. Give me a good crotch in a tree trunk. Done it before. LOL I was more worried about feed/jam issues, and the like. I'd go for an AR-15 in a heartbeat (I liked my M16A2 back in another life), but the SU-16 is more in my wallet's current comfort zone. I guess I'm partial to the look of the pseudo-M14 ergonomics of it.
"But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: for men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away, for his name is Obama."
Sorry it took me so long to respond. I did have an SU-16c for a while and it was a good little rifle. I did not like the bi-pod because it was just too flimsy. So I removed it and installed a Red Lion aluminum tri-rail fore-end, and some other stuff, in fact I put too much stuff on it. I should have just left it alone as the super light weight rifle it is intended to be.
It never malfunctioned and it is a great shooter. It will take any standard AR mag and is chambered in 5.56. I don’t have anything bad to say about it. If you get one, I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.
Here is a great resource:
