Former New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani, speaking for his fellow Republicans ten years after the September 11th attacks, denounced President Barack Obama's handling of national security on Saturday.
Giuliani, giving the party's weekly address, notably blasted Obama's decision to withdraw some 33,000 US troops from Afghanistan by September 2012 and bring home all combat forces by 2014.
"Perhaps the most dangerous impulse we've developed since September 11 is impatience demonstrated by the calls to put our armed forces on timetables," said the former mayor, hailed for his take-charge response to the attacks.
...And he blasted "the inappropriate decision-making and irrational application of political correctness in the attack at Fort Hood," the army base in Texas where US Army Major Nidal Hasan alleged killed 13 people in a shooting spree.

I don’t expect you to understand everything I say, nor even agree. But I am appalled that posters on the internet’s premier conservative forum cannot even appreciate what our leaders at the time accomplished on 9/11/01, and set aside some of their other differences out of respect.
I cannot respond because I have gone silent on what is still taking place on the ground as result of 9/11/01 by our volunteer military. I do not talk about it nor will I discuss in real time at this moment what is happening as opposed to what did happen. And if I were to speak freely you most likely would call me 'brain-damaged' because I was not bending a knee to some so called leader. Oh just for the record, I have NO ill words for President Bush and the military actions he took... and out of respect for the loss of life I won't go political on the domestic peril he left US to deal.
I’ll see if I can find it. Thanks for the head’s up.
A Big Clue was the previous NYC terror bombing---
I guess Rooty was too busy gallivanting around, giving illegals sanctuary, writing out donations to, and being guest speaker, at pro-abort groups, heading up gay pride parades, escorting his mistress around town while his wife and kids were living in Gracie Mansion...........and other stuff.
Defending a Rudybot by attacking your fellow FReepers - now THAT is pathetic.
Oh, Liz! For heaven’s sake!
Do you live in the five boroughs?
Is it better now than it was in 2001?
I give up. Can’t find a transcript of his speech anywhere. :(
You know, I bet that guy and Perry would pass for twins, if they were the same age, he looks about the pom,/pom age.
I found it here http://www.c-spanvideo.org/program/301370-1, too. Thanks for looking for me. That was kind of you.
He mentioned the dangers of political correctness and he also mentioned that it killed soldiers at Fort Hood.
He did not acknowledge the overkill at the airports with sexually molesting and harassing Americans but that might fall under the category of using political correctness rather than truth/criminal science which he made clear he understands.
Well, that's a little bit too tough IMHO, after seeing again PBS's Frontline story, "The Man Who Knew", about 9/11, on its recent rebroadcast.
Giuliani and many other people were being Gorelicized by Chinese walls intended to protect the vast crimes of Slick and Beast and the rest of the Permanent Government, and the FBI in particular was crippled by State Department drones and FBI midlevels going nuclear on their office-political agenda internally, so that efforts against Al Q'aeda were partially blinded and hamstrung internally.
Besides, Rudy was mayor of New York (might be an idea for him to run again and drive the crooked unions berserk), and so had relatively less to do with the effort against international terrorists.
Notwithstanding that his New York politics and lifestyle were more Bohemian than American, as you point out.
Uh, no....I won’t leave Rick Perry alone : )
Julie-Annie is another idiot narcissist RINO.
NO BODY has YET to define what “WINNING” is in Afghanistan OR Iraq.
My definition of “winning” in both places was removing the regimes which were a major threat to the countries around them and to us. We did that already.
Bush’s, Julie-Annie’s and even Obama’s idea of “winning” has yet to be defined.
If by “WINNING” we mean changing these societies into pro-western civilized states with responsible governments, we are out of our minds. As long as they are Muslim tribal societies, the BEST we can hope for is to make them FEAR us enough so they will be less supportive of terrorists. And we DON’T do that by keeping a military presence there, ostensibly to “civilize” them and carry on some kind of mindless police action with our hands tied behind our backs because of “rules of engagement”.
Bush II made a big mistake committing American lives and money in these rat holes after we took out Saddam and the Taliban. We should have left at that point and let them sort out the rubble all by themselves. Instead we stayed and lost a lot Americans and American money for nothing.
As soon as we pull out of both places they will revert to the only kind of society Muslims are capable of creating.
LOL!
Some people just can't handle the truth.
(The Emperor has glorious new clothes and that's that!)
That is funny
