My school acquired a trailer back in 1968, via some federal grant program for reading. Don’t ask me why a reading program would pay for anything beyond books or special instructors....but it did. That trailer sat on school property for around six years, then the grant and extra cash to pay for the one special instructor finally ran out. The two hundred-odd kids who went through that program during that period....really got a boost...but it’s mostly because they kept the group size to like five kids per hour. The school continued to use the trailer for five or six years for various purposes but it started leaking, and they ended up dumping it.
You get the impression that this guy really doesn’t know much about life in America. If he’s all upset about schools using trailers....he must be really shocked and upset that people live their entire lives in a trailer (preferably a double-wide).
I was in a trailer back in the 50’s. Are you sure Obama went to school in the US?
I read Dreams from my Father during the primary season in 2008, and very much got that impression. Nothing that has happened since has changed that opinion. Nothing that has happened has been much of a surprise, either, sadly.
Whenever you here a liberal say that we need to do something for schools, it just code words meaning “Hey Teacher’s Unions, I got your back”.

I sold my McMansion in 2006 and bought an old double-wide on 6 acres in the woods with the profit. Now that Im out of work, its great to actually own my house; even if it is a trailer. When I move, assuming I get a next job, Ill rent it. I feel like an idiot that I bought houses all those decades and never owned one. I spent my last five working years putting 25% of my pre-tax income into investments. (Of course, I got my clock cleaned by the Obama economy, but my own-a-trailer-invest-your-income idea is still a sound strategy.)
This everybody MUST own a McMansion attitude has been terribly bad for the economy. My double-wide has been perfect and in many ways is superior lay-out-wise to a house.
“You get the impression that this guy really doesnt know much about life in America”
pretty obvious by now. doesn’t know history, geography, language, anything about the Constitution.
