He really is a complete idiot. When I was in college, um, a few decades plus ago, some of our classes were in modular buildings.
If you were really good you got to help run the mimeograph machine!
No, No, No........... he’s a special needs man-child!
I had 100% of my classes in modulars and that was 40 years ago.
I was informed otherwise, but honestly, after seeing how the other side lives, theres much to be gained.
You can have a used double-wide on one acre of land for the cost of a new car. That means you can own it outright rather than paying $200,000-500,000 over 30 years for a house you may or may not be able to sell when you need to. Suppose you walk away with no value in the mobile home and just the land money when you sell. Youve banked (invested) all the mortgage money you would have spent otherwise.
Now, if you have to deal with school districts or a high-maintenance wife, all bets are off.
BTW, I now own outright 1600 square feet of cement floor garage/shop with remote operated doors. You have to have priorities.
But you’re in prison or on welfare right? [extreme sarcasm]
I used to work in one of those “trailers”. It was pretty nice. Heated/air conditioned, of course. The only thing it lacked was a rest room.
“You get the impression that this guy really doesnt know much about life in America”
pretty obvious by now. doesn’t know history, geography, language, anything about the Constitution.
6th grade. Felt the same as prison.
You may be right. Just a regular at the rev wright's hate church.
He doesn’t have to worry ..they re not learning anything in the trailer..

My kids preferred the “trailers” (actually, they are indeed modular buildings attached to the main school building with covered sidewalks) because they had air conditioning, unlike the main school building.
Modular classrooms make perfect sense because many school districts experience rapid poulation growth with new residential development, but then level off and actually decline in population as the area matures and the kids grow up and move on. At that point you can just get rid of the modular classrooms as they become unnecessary.
Or the way they pummeled Dan Quayle after a teacher handed him a flash card with "potatos" spelled incorrectly. (Or was it "potatoes", ending the same way as "heroes"? Whatever... I always mix that up.)
The journ-O-listers who control the Democrat "mainstream" newsrooms will lie and spin and do whatever it takes to prevent their floating turd Ubama from getting flushed down the toilet in the next election. They will do ANYTHING. Believe it. They are the domestic enemies of normal, traditional America.
“You can have a used double-wide on one acre of land for the cost of a new car.”
That’s very, very tempting at this point in time. I pay too much in rent, but haven’t decided yet on where to settle down. I’m getting to the point where I really have to make a decision, but for now I’ll stick out where I am.
“That means you can own it outright rather than paying $200,000-500,000 over 30 years for a house”
I live in TX. I can get a forclosure for 100k, easy. The argument is between the trailer, which is about a fifth the cost.
“Suppose you walk away with no value in the mobile home and just the land money when you sell. Youve banked (invested) all the mortgage money you would have spent otherwise.”
Oh, I’m not that sort. If I buy a trailer, it would be because I intend to work and remain in the area for longterm. My job prospects at present aren’t that solid, but I like where I live.
“BTW, I now own outright 1600 square feet of cement floor garage/shop with remote operated doors. You have to have priorities.”
I think we’d get along. I have my priorities too, but they don’t need much space to operate. :)
Blessings sir. Peace and blessings to you.
> We shouldnt have kids learning in trailers. They should have classrooms with Internet and science labs,” President Obama said to the college crowd.<
What? He thinks you can’t have internet in a trailer?
