But Samuelson's neighbor, Fernando Perez, said he told the cops several times that Ozzy was roaming in the back.
When the security alarm system at the home went off, Samuelson called Perez to check it out while she made the 20-minute drive to her house, he said. Perez said he knew not to go into the backyard because of the dog and when officers arrived, he warned them.
"'Be careful. Its a big dog,' I told them. They told me to go back to my house," said Perez, who repeated the warning several more times. "Before I get to my driveway, I hear the two shots. They walked into the backyard with the guns in their hand. Then they ran from the backyard like they were scared or something."
Samuelson said she got Ozzy to protect the house and deter thieves. Police have not said what triggered the alarm.
"He was our protector," Samuelson said. "Hes a huge part of our family."

No.
They are supposed to help prosecute you. By doing so, you try to behave and by that peace is kept.
Yeah, I had a strange dog.
Miss her dearly.
You don’t know what you are talking about.
Have you ever actually seen a dog in action?
Not on TV but a real dog?
A dog IS going to notice you coming over HIS fence or going through HIS gate and will be on you like ugly on an ape.
If you so much as jiggle my gate handle you will have six dogs staring at your ass before you can enter.
They are not mediators and they don’t act until a crime is either being committed or has been committed (in other words, you’re already dead).
What are they doing when a crime has been committed is collecting statements and evidence for the aid of the prosecution.
That is not to serve and protect, though those would be the by-products of such a system.
That's for when your girlfriend comes over for dinner.
You’re implying hesitation when you say jiggling the handle. I never said that the guy would be trying to sneak through the yard.
He’s over the fence, through the yard, and back over the fence in about two seconds.
I am “implying” that Jesse Freakin’ Owens ain’t crossing my yard if my dogs don’t want him to.
No way no how.
If he flies over the fence without touching it and is burning along at full speed they would catch him in about fifteen feet.
I’ll ask again, have you ever seen a dog in person?
Yes, and I’ve also outrun them if they were 50 feet away from me to begin with.
LOL!
Didn’t say they were mediators or anything about serve and protect. In addition to not knowing what you are talking about, you have a reading comprehension problem.
All I said was that police are a prosecution arm of the state. Nothing more and nothing less, that is their function.
They do not keep peace.
They do not serve and protect.
They collect evidence, witness statements and apprehend perps.
I don't know of too many yards designed such that this is a possibility.
I just told my dogs that you think that you can cross THEIR yard without them catching you. Five laughed and the pit-mix snarled and said, "Bring it."
Sigh, they are the apprehension arm of the state.
Also, why do many of the police cars and badges have the motto "To Protect and Serve" on them? Because they are a bunch of liars?
My motto is, “I want to make you a millionaire!”
When in reality, I want you to make me a millionaire.
To apprehend is part of the prosecution process. They can’t prosecute you if you’re not caught.
If you get victimized and an officer fails to protect you, see how far a lawsuit goes.
You will find that, while most cops will try to stop you from being victimized, they aren’t required to do so.
So they are also the judgment and incarceration part?
One cannot be judged or incarcerated if a criminal isn’t caught.
So I guess the cops are all that and then some.
Also, you didn’t logically comment on the motto thing. I am guessing it is because you are wrong on this issue just like the rest and just aren’t man enough to admit it.
I just saw this.
You might try to behave to please the cops, I am going to act like a free American and the cops can piss off.
I'd ping freedomwarrior998 to support you but his cop sucking badge bunny ass was booted this morning.
