Hard to be against the political elite when you ran with John McCain.

Not really a fair comment. She would never have been known outside of Alaska if she hadn't accepted the nomination. It didn't necessarily mean that she bought into everything that McCain stood for (whatever that is). She just took an opportunity. I'm glad she did.

You forget—the McCain campaign was pretty much anti-Palin all along.

President Reagan ran with George H. W. Bush, the biggest elitist in the last 100 years. Explain.

His chances were DEAD before he goofed up to pick her. If it hadn’t been for his blunders, she could have carried him to 1600. She saw the opportunity to bring her message out of Alaska and siezed the open door while it was there.

20/20 hindsight here?

Most still had not grasped the concept it was really us against the elite establishment and not an R and D thing at that time. She knew the only reasonable way to do for the country, what she had accomplished in Alaska, was to get the boost to national attention, which she did. When the elites finally realized what they had done, they threw away the election to avoid helping her to rise to a place where their SNAFU existence would have been in joepardy.

“Hard to be against the political elite when you ran with John McCain.”

I think we have all had to deal with people and circumstances that we did not agree with.....I can’t just stay locked up in the house (even though I would like to away from the bull####).....I don’t see Palin flip-flopping on important issues, and that is why she butted heads with the McCain camp during the 2008 run.....She has been faithful on issues since her days as Mayor.....If you can’t see that, you choose not too......Nobody else running gives a speech comparable to her Tea Party appearances.....She even called McCain out by mentioning his (Hobbit’s) statement....She’s the real deal, no stupid talking points, just the facts......
