“House GOP pledges speedy review of job proposals”
As long as it is followed up with a speedy flushing sound....
Let’s see the bill Kenyan...
And this should be their response:
"Jobs plan? What jobs plan? We dont need no stinking jobs plan!"
WEALTH CREATION is the issue not jobs. Wealth creates jobs not the other way around. Wealth is created by the free flow of supply and demand in the marketplace which spawns ideas, innovation, research, and development which creates and expands opportunities for growth which necessitates employment of more and more people to get the job done, thus expanding the economy and creating more WEALTH among more people. Government has nothing to do with this process except GET OUT OF THE WAY.
Let’s take the tax cuts, starve the beast and look like we are compromising at the same time.
This is the center piece of Hussein’s re-election strategy. He knows the economy will suck, so he is going to go for a “do nothing congress” campaign. If he offers tax cuts, take em’, just don’t agree to any new spending or state/union bailouts.
Take the tax cuts, pay for them with spending cuts.
This can be orchestrated. Or . . . and they may be superior . . . take the tax cuts and have them blow the debt ceiling schedule. A few hundred billion would move the ceiling forward before the election and refight that fight during the campaign. Obama would have to be in the room and could not campaign.
“Uh, uh, uh, I’ll have my proposal out in 10 days.”
The review will undoubtedly include the realization that indeed the bill offers nothing new: it is founded on the exact premise that caused the mortgage problem, viz., Buy Now — Pay Later. Only this time, it is Buy Votes Now, your grangchildren (if the country manages to avoid bankruptcy) will Pay and Pay and Pay Later. Accenting the presumed benefits of Buy Now programs without disclosing the Pay Later downside is reminiscent of salesmen selling gullible buyers, sight unseen, a piece of land in a swamp at many times its assessed valuation.
Ball in your court Obozo, let’s see the plan.
And the oceans will recede, and the sick will be healed, and everything who wants a job will have one at decent wages. Just give me your money and this will all come to pass.
Krap! They ( Repubs) will cave - Because of TOTUS? And his Yelling “PASS IT NOW” 18 times?
Obie's screwed. Everything he does is political and very transparent. Obie has already done all the stalling and will continue to stall, while trying to blame it on the Pubbies. He's a real piece of work.
zero will propose the goodies, but he will not spell out the way to finance his programs. The GOP must relentlessly insist that zero indicate exactly how he would pay for his crap in writing. The GOP must avoid zero’s persistent refusal to put specific proposals in writing for public scrutiny.
We’re tired of games, time to call zero’s bluff.
Is that the same unexpectedly guy who reports on the weekly job numbers? And why would AP report this as unexpectedly ?...because Pubbies are nothing but obstructionists ?
I dont know about the tax cuts. I think Obama is trying to back us into a corner by trying to cut SS taxes when republicans are vocal about SS being insolvent. We take the “tax cut” bait and then the dems say “how can you complain about SS not being solvent while at the same time reducing revenue into it?”
Now, I know that the SS tax doesnt go into a special account, and that even if we cut the SS tax we could use general funds to pay for it, but I doubt the people who watch ABC news because their parents did know that.
