Companies that declare BK don’t get raided by the Feds.

And WH cronies wouldn’t be raided if they were ‘protected’.

Here’s a wild guess.
Solyndra sought funds, built the Taj Mahal of factories for a niche company with no profit history.
No board would approve that for their own company, meaning 1/2 billion dollar factory. It would doom the company to strike gold immediately, or collapse.
OR-The board was under the belief that the funds would keep coming, as in too important to fail federal bailout.

So, company is BK, and somebody is a loose cannon, meaning they’ll spill sordid details of WH promises.
Feds get to them first, make them the criminals in the court of public opinion, and whatever they say after that are the mutterings of criminals.

One good way to be competitive in the solar business would be to buy the assets of a bankrupt company for a dime on the dollar.

That requires thinking a few moves ahead.
