Republicans Yuck It Up When Obama Says He’s Not For Class Warfare
TPMDC ^ | 9/8/2011 | Ryan J. Reilly

The Republican side of the House floor burst into laughter during President Barack Obama's big jobs speech on Thursday when he said his plan "isn't class warfare."

They also didn't take to kindly when President Obama name-dropped billionaire Warren Buffet, who he said "pays a lower tax rate than even his secretary -- an outrage he has asked us to fix."

"I mean, well yeah Warren Buffett, gimme' a break!" Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-TX) later exclaimed. "I mean we find out his business is four billion in the rears [sic] on taxes, and he goes public and says 'hey I'm all for more taxes, I don't pay enough taxes.' Pay what you owe, how about that! Four billion dollars -- think about what that could do, the jobs that could provide, and the money could be applied towards the deficit."

Too bad there’s no video clip. I sure didn’t watch the speech, and don’t intend to, but I’d watch that clip.

Both parties supported the bailout. They’re both for class warfare.

Nice to hear, since I refused to watch. Republicans sound like they know Hussein is swinging at the air....

Music to my ears. I wish I'd heard it. Sometimes I think laughter is the only effective response to the blathering of liberals.

Hypocrites on parade last night - Jeff Immelt from GE was sitting by the first Vacation Lady even though GE as a bailout recipient paid no taxes, and since 2000 has moved 20% of their jobs overseas - of course he is on BOs job panel

Well alinsky says to ridicule and laugh at your opponent.
Really it’s the only thing that riles a libtard up is to laugh at him/her.

Gohmert did have one good thing to say about Obama's plan. "I'll tell you this, he is the most gifted speech reader I've seen in my lifetime," Gohmert said. "The head dance he does -- and I was directly in line with one of the teleprompters -- it is a head dance, just a beautiful thing."

"He is so good. I don't need sound, I can just sit there and admire how good he is at going back and forth," Gohmert said. "He's an incredibly gifted reader."

LOL

Four billion dollars — think about what that could do, the jobs that could provide,...

This fool, Gomer, is as dumb as the rest. Buffet’s back taxes, four billion more paid to the government, would “provide” about 13 paper-shuffle dolittle pencil-ready new government jobs for about 2 years, and bonuses and efficiency-award conference junkets for those new jobs’ several dozen supervisors and managers.

How can you say such a thing?!? Not a SINGLE Republican voted for the Stimulus. NOT ONE. See HERE.

How can we encourage the GOP to show some spine when we don't even give them credit when they do?

The BAILOUT (not Stimulus bill) was in 2008, and I stand corrected, as some Republicans did indeed vote for it--HOWEVER, the majority of them did NOT. Click HERE (91 voted Aye, 108 voted Nay).

Do Buffet and Obama realize that there is a difference between a capital gain and earned income tax rate? Guess not.

I am looking forward to listening to Glenn Beck's critique this morning; Beck's satire makes me laugh out loud.

The sad thing is that they have all forgotten about the 35% tax that Buffet’s corporations pay on their profits before distributing the dividends and capital gains that are taxed at an additional 15%.
