SIMI VALLEY, Calif. The scrap between Rick Perry and Mitt Romney may have gotten more attention in Wednesdays presidential candidates debate, but it was tame compared to the dust-up between Mr. Perry and Rep. Ron Paul, two Texans who apparently have spent plenty of time digging up dirt on each other and arent afraid to use it.
At one point when the video cameras werent rolling though the incident was caught by still photographers Mr. Perry walked over Mr. Pauls lectern, took hold of the congressmans wrist and wagged his finger at him.
The physical exchange was matched by the intensity of the two mens verbal attacks on each other.

Have your seeing-eye dog read post #137 to you. If you don’t understand what it says, your remedial schooling is not my personal responsibility.
For the second time, I was trying to support your position when you attacked my reply to you without reading it. For the third time, please trouble to actually read a post before you reply? And for the second time (and the last), Adios.
Perry is a mature man, and a person who needs to prove his point by an act of physical intimidation is not showing a new personality trait that just hit him that morning while he was shaving.
You stated the man is, "Comfortable getting physical"
When someone is, "Conformable" doing something, this clearly implies a pattern, or measurable experience performing this type of behavior.
You seem very comfortable writing words, which you have no idea what they mean or imply.
It’s rude to stick your finger in someones face, especially in an old dudes face.
er...comfortable too
(Indeed, this is getting serious and needs to stop if we even hope to win against Obama. The strongest candidate wins. Childish nitpicking and demagoguery will destroy us.)
Well Dr. Demento was most certainly off his meds last night.
What lies? Perry did support HillaryCare. Perry did support the bailouts. Perry was Al Gore's campaign manager. Perry did, by executive order, force young girls to get the Gardisil vaccination. No lies. Facts.
And it wasn't just one photo. Ron Paul obviously got under Perry's skin, although Ron Paul doesn't look very intimidated by him.
In the picture that I am looking at, at the top of this thread, it most certainly is.
uh, No. I can see the tips of Perry’s fingers. If you want to believe that Perry assaulted Paul go ahead, the reality is it just looks like he is resting his hand on Paul’s arm. Perry is not a stupid man, do you really think he would assault Paul on stage in front of millions of people?
Actually it looks like he is taking Paul’s pulse.
I never said that Perry assaulted Paul. I am a Perry supporter. I was just disagreeing with your take on the picture. Frankly I don’t see anything wrong with Perry confronting Dr. Demento.
Ok.
Sometimes you have to communicate important things to dolts, whether they are old or not.
For both Ronaldus Maximus and Rick Perry being a Democrat was a function of being of modest means, of Democrat parentage and, in Perry's case, a function of geography (he came from West Texas as did Kent Hance who also became a solid Republican). Nor did Perry attack Reagan as did paleoPaulie in his Libertoonian campaign for POTUS in 1988.
Consider yourself reminded that most of the time Republicans (actual Republicans) and conservatives (actual not paleo) celebrate the conversion of Democrats and Democrat officeholders to the GOP (Jesse Helms, John Connolly, Ronaldus Maximus, Jeanne Kirkpatrick, former Yale Dean Donald Kagan, etc.) a lot more than they do the unrequested return of a political looney tune and apostate like Ron Paul who left the GOP and whatever passed for his mind to take the Libertoonian POTUS nomination and attack Ronaldus Maximus. There is the REAL big difference.
I don't know whether I will wind up casting my primary vote for Rick Perry or Sarah Palin or Michelle Bachmann (each of whom is well qualified to receive conservative votes and be elected) but I know I would not vote for paleoPaulie under any imaginable circumstances. I prefer not to see my nation in nuclear ashes nor to see Israel or any other ally in nuclear ashes or to witness the disarmament of the US military or to imagine a USA with that little treasonweasel Paul on his knees in the Oval Office signing our nation over to Sharia Law with a terrorist AK-47 in each ear and Muhammed el Kaboomski barking orders to him. I also would never want to depend on Paul because of his lifelong habit of posing for holy pictures on matters like baby-killing, sexual perversion posing as "marriage," and fiscal responsibility when he refuses to DO anything meaningful on the first two and has a verrrry mixed record on fiscal responsibility (stuffing pork galore for Galveston into each appropriations bill, voting against the bills, but always knowing his colleagues will vote for his largely unconstitutional pork projects anyhow.
El Run Paulie is famous for being totally unwilling to fight. That’s why the college leftists love him so.
Yeah, and that would have led to the final solution of the paleotreasonweasel problem. Buh-bye, Paulie!
It will take Republican voters a bit longer than three days to permanently fire paleoPaulie but he will be fired and this time he cannot slink back to Congress since the Terxas GOP controlled legislature was intelligent enough to eliminate his district by dividing it up. Maybe he will run for POTUS again next time when he is 80??? Or maybe run in Iran? The mullahs probably love him there. He’s earned their trust and confidence as their loyal servant. AND, hey, even Neville Chamberlain did not get to directly succeed his pal Adolf.
Didn’t he push Sarah Palin away from a lectern, some time ago?
I don't know anything about that.
