Well, actually, I didn’t put Obama in the White House. I voted for that RINO a-hole McCain. It disgusted me, but I did it. I am whitey white girl here, but frankly, if Marco Rubio wants to be on my side and is willing to educate other “Hispanics” about the truths of Conservativism, I’m ALL FOR IT. Even if his name was Marcie Rubio. I’m not going to suggest you are a sexist or a racist. I think you’re old school, and I get that. But I do think you need to look past your assumptions. Rubio is a solid conservative. Don’t knock him BECAUSE he’s Hispanic and new. He’s got “star” quality that is NECESSARY for elections these days.

How many times have we heard this?

Black people didn’t vote for George W. Bush because of Condoleeza Rice and Colin Powell. They didn’t vote for Bush Sr. after he put Clarence Thomas on the Supreme Court.

As for “Hispanics,” Marco Rubio is a Cuban, and Cubans vote Republican because they are Cubans, successful business people in South Florida. In Florida, the Puerto Ricans aren’t going to vote for the Cuban Rubio. Neither are the Mexicans in the Southwest.

If Rubio proved he was capable of being a great president, then fine he should have his chance down the road, after he has been given the chance to prove himself. But we shouldn’t vote for someone just because they are black or Hispanic.

We’re living under the Obama disaster right now. Obama wasn’t even in the Senate a full term before he ended up in the White House. It was a disaster.

I’m not knocking him because he is “Hispanic.” I love Clarence Thomas because he is a great Supreme Court justice. But he isn’t qualified to be President of the United States.

I don’t believe or want my now conservative beliefs to trump my Constitutional beliefs going back to my service in WWII. As such neither Obama, Rubio, and even my brother(KIA Okinawa) and I were/are eligible for POTUSA as ‘natural born citizens’. Political expediency must not be overridden by what our Constitution was set up to maintain.

“Rubio is a solid conservative.”

In nearly all respects, I’m inclined to agree with you. However, if he was completely honest and inclined to adhere to the intent of the framers, he would admit that he’s ineligible according to that original intent as stated in the Constitution and affirmed in Minor vs Happersett. No. Divided. Loyalties.
If his parents had not taken the oath of citizenship, dissolving any lingering loyalties to another country by the time of his birth, then Rubio is not eligible, and he should state so. He would do the country a great service, thereby.

I voted for Sarah Palin in the 2008 election, not McLame.
