I’m not for Perry but have, out of respect, lightened up since the Texas fires. I believe when a man comes to the aid of those fighting fires, and he needed to do that, I’ll give him the repect deserved for doing so regardless of what or not his motive would be. He did the right thing.
No you are voting for OBAMA!
With all due respect, bean counter, he’s not struggling on other issues, he’s walking on eggshells because he doesn’t want to arm the Dems. He knows what he’s doing.
HeyTammyBruce Tammy Bruce
I normally enjoy hearing from Ron Paul but tonight he was especially irritating. Too much Zogg?
Here I go. Watched the whole painful thing and the real winner was Nancy Reagan. NONE of the candidates stood out for longer than a rare couple of seconds. Newt for his taking it to the mods and the fed, Cain for his stand on immigration and state’s rights, and Perry on the death penalty.
That was it, and I am frankly disgusted that with all the GOOD Conservatives in this country, THIS is what stands before us as our standard bearers.
I swear to G-d! If I hear Michele Bachmann say ONE MORE TIME that she raised five kids and 23 foster kids, I will kick the TV in.
Winner: Newt. He’ll probably win every one but he’s damaged goods.
Cain: 2nd place. Did amazingly well considering how little time he had.
Perry: Stood his ground. Don’t agree with everything he said but he said it straight out.
Bachmann: Got screwed like Cain did getting ignored. Too uptight but her last exchange was her best. Pulls up news and facts the others don’t.
Romney: Had some good stuff tonite. Still won’t vote for him though because I know his record.
Santorum: Sounds like a Senator, not a Presidential candidate.
Paul: Nuts.
Huntsman: Ain’t voting for Eddie Hascal, no how, no way.
CP,
I agree. Mitt comes across as a wonk - and without feeling. And constipated.

So there's some sort of bell that gets rung and all the pigs come running? Again, it's called strategy.
I dont think she has the fire in her belly. My gut reaction to her is that she is all about Sarah.
Have you heard or read what she did in Alaska and what she's been saying for the last three years? That's not enough of a clue? Do yourself a favor and watch "The Undefeated".
Madcow is worse than a disgraceful piece of crap...I couldn’t hear her for even a second.
I agree with you on us being in good shape.
I felt really good listening to this field tonight.. I know we can’t talk about Romney on here, but he did ok. Perry has the MSNBC crowd spooked, which is a good thing.
The guy I liked the best was Herman Cain. Damn I wish he were a more viable candidate.
And Obama appreciates your vote.
Though others had applause.
Only a fool would do a write in. Making a point is not an option this time around.
Now that you mention it.....after the opening round where Perry and Romney had their job pissing contest there wasn’t any more discussion about jobs, at least not in detail. No talk about the deficit either other than Perry mentioning Obama taught us we can’t create one new job by spending more. Dang!
Consistent, too.
I’m a Texan, been watching Perry for years. I have MAJOR beefs with him over past policies, really resent some of the stuff he’s done, question his motives.
That said, he’s for real.
What you saw up there tonight is who he is, maybe a little less prepared than he might have been were it not for our infernos and the time he’s had to spend this week on disaster instead of prep.
I just want someone to get Obama out of Washington. If Perry can do that, I’m in.
If Sarah gets in by sometime in September, the media will still have plenty of time to tear her down along with all the others.
By entering, these people can get the issues that hurt them the most out of the way early on.
Tonight, most of them dealt with those issues pretty well.
As each one enters, they enjoy a short honeymoon, then the bashing begins.
In a free country, why would someone have to sign an “opt-out” to keep the government out of your daughter’s sex life?
I was a Santorum voter til tonight...he just didn’t have it. I’d like to see Paul, Huntsman, Santorum, and all the rest of the no shows bow out so we can hear more from the 5 that would be left...Perry, Romney, Newt, Bachman, and Cain.
Santorumn and Huntsman are out.
We winnow the field and move on.
THAT VACCINE AND ITS RECORD CREEP ME OUT!
just like Perry!
