New Mexico Gov. Susana Martinez slammed fellow Gov. Rick Perry over immigration on the Laura Ingraham show today, albeit with only partial facts at her disposal:
Ingraham: I asked you about Rick Perrys approach to immigration. Is his approach, including that DREAM Act, something that we should be pursuing nationally and is it something that you support?
Martinez: No, I dont. It is not comprehensive reform to put people who are here illegally, who violated the law, and put them in front of the line for those folks who have been waiting and doing all the right things to come to the United States, to come here legally, and/or to become a citizen. We cannot allow those folks to just jump the line.

Thanks for pinging the list. I was formatting my post when yours popped up and we overlapped; folks will get a double ping for this story.
Thanks for the reasoned response. I did a Google and it looks like she’s jumped around on the issue, and has at times voiced support for a “path to citizenship” and at other times has seemed to oppose it. Not surprised as she would not answer Laura’s specific questions this morning. But she is doing some good things in NM.
You can see reports of contradictory positions in the headlines grabbed by Google:

Ping!
You’re welcome, and thank you for calling this to my attention. Of course, the way libs and “immigrant rights” activists have been hammering her, she might be getting a bit annoyed. She’s a fiesty lady.
The liberal infrastructure can't suck up to them enough. Give them enough freebies. Why did you even bust your butt to send you kid to college when illegals get a free ride and then some?
Another straight talking conservative woman addressing significant concerns with focus and clarity. The RINO character assassination squads must be munching Tums and googling her name for dirt even as we speak.
Perry wrong on immigration
