HOUSTON -- At the moment, Rick Perry's camp confirms the governor still plans to participate in Wednesday night's GOP debate in California.

The governor's campaign just released his schedule showing two events in California after the debate. It appears he will leave the wildfires to appear Wednesday night in California and will continue on with planned fundraisers Thursday and Friday. Well, I would encourage you to take a second mortgage out on your house and put in all on Palin to win on Intrade or another betting house because you could make 20 times your money.

Since people betting real money know she isn’t.

Thanks for the pagan advice, but God’s children do not place his money before idols.

Lots of people ‘know’ things that are not so.

How did you bet on Hale Bopp?

you have to remember that people on Intrade are ALLOWED and even encouraged to trade with inside information. Don’t you think if Palin were going to run, that each and every person that had that inside information would be taking out a loan on their children to bet as much as possible at 20 to 1 odds ?

And, once again, another thread turned into desperate for Palin thread. I truly wish she’d put her supporters out of their misery if she’s not going to run. If she is, then, hopefully she’ll put on her big girl panties, soon, and work for the job.

As a Texan. I could care less if Perry stays in state or goes. Won’t make a whit of difference whatever he does. As far as the fires go...

Really. If things are so bad down here in Texas, how come virtually everybody who lives here loves it?

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm?

“You “plan B” people are the biggest thing wrong with American elections.”

Ok, so what happens with you if Sarah doesn’t get in, bucko. Who is your man, or woman. It’s called planning for all eventualities; obviously, you haven’t reached that level of maturity yet.

If we fail to get Palin, or a mythical someone with her same motivation and qualifications, we are just spinning our wheels until the crash.

We also have to have a candidate with huge coattails, and Palin appears to be the only one that fills that bill too. The present field of “other thans” have zero promise of congressional thunder in their resumes.

This isn't just another election cycle; it could be the last one before economic irrelevance comes down on our heads.

After seeing that puzzled little boy look on Senor Perry's face at the fire command center yesterday, I had to laugh at the idea that he wants to run for president. The GOP wants to pull an Obama on us? (OK, Perry is no marxist as far as I know, but otherwise it fits)

You might want to consider the politics of Texas which Perry had to get Palins support to push the votes in his favor this last time. He wasn’t as popular as folks want to believe because the public has learned things are not what they “appear”.

Despite my screen name, I have resided in Texas for decades. I'm quite familiar with "the politics of Texas".

I'm also well aware that there was never any question that Perry wouldn't win the primary vs Kay Bailey Hutchison -- an even more objectionable figure to conservatives. Palin or no Palin.
