In the hours since the Jimmy Hoffa Voter Encouragement Crisis/Incendiary Rhetorapocalypse, conservative media figures have looked to the White House to provide some becalming wisdom to a shaken nation. At Tuesday’s White House briefing, ABC’s Jake Tapper asked Press Secretary Jay Carney how Hoffa’s comments fit with the President’s post-Tucson remarks in January. Jake wants to know 'what is the standard'. Not 'what is the standard for the teacher's pets (dems)' or 'what is the standard for the Joos' (conservatives) - but WHAT IS THE STANDARD.

Tapper’s a liberal, but he’s also a real reporter. Most of the other DNC Media types are pure shill, all the way to the bone.
Jake Tapper is certainly no conservative. But unlike most in that White House press corps, he occasionally shows the guts to challenge the Obama press secretary on matters such as this which the White House would prefer not to engage in publicly. Now that Tapper has teed off Carney, it wouldn’t come as a surprise if ABC fired or reassigned him - at the White House’s behest. It is still the state-run MSM, after all.

In twenty years (or less), Tapper will write a memoir chronicling how he became a conservative. He’s tiring of the cognitive dissonance required to be liberal.
