Last week TLC's "Toddlers and Tiaras" reality show enraged the world with a shocking performance by a 4-year-old sporting fake C-cup boobs and acting like a 20-something.
. . .3-year-old Paisley struts across the stage dressed as Julia Roberts in the opening scene of the movie "Pretty Woman." In thigh-high black patent leather boots and a tight blue mini skirt,

“TLC is the absolute sewer of cable channels. Kate Plus 8 and fat chicks buying wedding dresses. Just total garbage.”
Totally agree. It’s one reason I’ve blocked it on my cable. Along with BET, MTv, VH1, MSNBC, and Bravo. If they mainly show liberal crap or reality shows like this, they are blocked. Others will be added to the list as they prove their uselessness.
Their dads are right up there front and center supporting these decisions.
Or do you approve of the sexualization of young children?
Moms living their own fantasy life through their 3 and 4 year old kids and in the process screwing the kids’ minds up forever.
Mine would make installing a fish tank the height of entertainment.
The sad thing is that I know people who are actually involved in stuff like this. One of my employees got herself suckered into the Mrs. Wisconsin contest about 15 years ago. She was already Mrs. South Milwaukee. What a racket, and you should have seen the amount of money she spent competing.
A former business partner’s wife is deeply involved in the Jr. Miss and Miss Arkansas Teen pageants with 2 of her granddaughters. It’s a whole way of life. IMHO, a sick way of life, but it is not for me to judge.
Another employee got suckered into a most beautiful baby contest about 10 years ago where she had to buy very expensive portfolios of pictures of her 1 year old to get her “modeling” jobs. She played along for about 3 years and never got her kid a job, as far as I know.
The most that can be said in favor of this is that the young woman learns comfort in front of an audience which might help her in later life. But, I’d rather see a kid take tennis or piano lessons.
Lauren Bush just married Ralph Lauren's son. Lauren Lauren.
Good luck wit dat. :)
What the hell happened to the parents of these children, and to those who promote this kind of exploitation of a child? This is really sick.
And A & E was Arts and Entertainment and had wonderful shows. Now it has Dog, the Bounty Hunter, Hoarding, Intervention and other disgusting time wasters.
I should add that an in-law of mine worked as a social worker in a New Mexican prison. The prison authorities blocked the A & E channel from their TV feed. They found it riled up the prisoners too much and planted too many ideas in their heads.
Gove are the days on A & E that you can watch Charles Dickens, Emily Bronte, or a rendition of Washington’s Crossing of the Delaware. It’s just crap now.
“13 yr old, going on 30!”
No - she’s perfectly content with t-shirts and sweatshirts. Her twin sister on the other hand.....!
They are both great kids, but the one did get told that if she has too much makeup on in the morning it will be coming off and she’ll be late to school.
TLC (The Learning Channel) used to be a great channel. They had lots of quality educational programming. Nature and science documentaries, etc.
Sounds like the kids have a great mom.
Agreed!!! - I’m the dad ;)
Stations filled the gap with non professionals; shows were cheap to make; folks watched. Ergo the scene today.
sad really.
When I see mothers and these show announcers exploiting babies as sexual objects for adult rapists, I want punch somebody.
I don’t feel sad. I don’t feel shocked. I feel like I want to beat someone up...real bad.
I’ve seen lots of previews for this disgusting program, and I wonder how it can continue to be aired.
It is absolutely an invitation to child rape.
How can the Mediots have been so outraged about Jon Benet Ramsey’s performances, but not this crap?
