Rollins to step back from Bachmann role By: Maggie Haberman September 5, 2011 05:56 PM EDT

Ed Rollins is going to be stepping back from day-to-day management of the Michele Bachmann campaign, and moving into a senior advisory role, he said in an interview.

Rollins said the reason for the change is personal — his health and the rigors of a campaign.

"I wish I was 40 years old, but I'm not," he told POLITICO. "I'm 68 years old, I had a stroke a year and a half ago. I'm worn out."

Republicans are obviously racist, sexist pigs.

Last I saw, CC, she was polling behind Cain and Gingrich...5th or 6th. That is not good. And I think rollins did it deliberately. I said it before. He controlled literally every move she made and every word she said, fed her bad information, hid her frrom the public. Bad news for her.
He should be fired, NOT moved to an executive role.

Herman is obviously a man used to wearing a suit and eating fried chicken. Note the tie tossed over his shoulder.

Yes. I'm a Southern man myself. That's how it's done.

Please reread my post. Everything rollins has done has been to Bachmann’s detriment. He has spent her blind. And for what?

I wouldn’t know. I’ve only worn a suit a couple of times in my life.

I believe that Michele Bachmann has been sadly and badly used. I don’t think she will recover from this.

I thought the tie was used to wipe your mouth.

Or keep the dipping sauce from getting on your shirt...

Nice picture. If one of them could win the nomination then the other would be a good running mate.

The establishment, however, is trying to pimp Perry and Romney at the moment. The Libertarians are trying to usurp momentum as well by pimping Ron Paul as well.

I think it is a competitive race still. I’m for Bachmann, Cain or Palin. But until Palin doesn’t go in, I can’t size her up in a debate.

“He should be fired, NOT moved to an executive role.”

This is the old “promote ‘em up and out.” A civil move when you don’t want to burn bridges or create any more controversy than necessar.

It seems that this lady has not been in the news much since the Iowa straw poll. Is this typical in between election events or is it evidence that there is little or no interest in MB? Is she rounding up the cash? Right or wrong I get the impression she is fading.

If Palin doesn’t get in or actively endorse one Bachmann or Cain, we’ll definitely get saddled with one of the silken haired RINO twins and witness the end of America.

That’s why I’m supportive of Bachmann, Cain, AND Palin. I think its the right approach for those of us who really care about America.

The latest Fox News poll, released Thursday, shows Bachmann with just 4 percent — though she was polling consistently in double digits in June and July. The survey showed Perry leading the field handily with 26 percent of GOP primary voters. But Bachmann was also trailing Romney, Texas Rep. Ron Paul and former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, who has not entered the race.

Palin was third in this poll. If I can find the actual poll itself, I’ll Freepmail you the link

Smells like Bachmann may be running low on cash to pay Rollins to work full time.
