As the nation gears up for the 2012 presidential election, Republican officials have launched an unprecedented, centrally coordinated campaign to suppress the elements of the Democratic vote that elected Barack Obama in 2008. Just as Dixiecrats once used poll taxes and literacy tests to bar black Southerners from voting, a new crop of GOP governors and state legislators has passed a series of seemingly disconnected measures that could prevent millions of students, minorities, immigrants, ex-convicts and the elderly from casting ballots. "What has happened this year is the most significant setback to voting rights in this country in a century," says Judith Browne-Dianis, who monitors barriers to voting as co-director of the Advancement Project, a civil rights organization based in Washington, D.C.

Stopping people who shouldn't be voting from voting? Scandalous! I hope the dimwits try to run on this. The public is on our side here, in spite of what the media says.

This guy was either smoking dope or is just an evil Marxist.
If you mean voter suppression by preventing felons, dead-people, and illegal aliens from casting a vote — I say about time.

I don’t even know where to begin with this article. It is so deliberately deceptive, nakedly partisan and unbelievably hypocritical that it must be shared with you all.

“the elderly from casting ballots”
This must be related to the practice of busing an entire facility of alzheimer’s patients to the polling station and having a social worker go in with each of them to assist them with voting.

All told, a dozen states have approved new obstacles to voting. Kansas and Alabama now require would-be voters to provide proof of citizenship before registering. Imagine that! Two states who believe only citizens should vote.

Ari Berman = Sonderkommando: Sonderkommando, groups of Jewish male prisoners picked for their youth and relative good health whose job was to dispose of corpses from the gas chambers or crematoria. Some did the work to delay their own deaths; some thought they could protect friends and family,..
Ari, is a Sonderkommando, sucking up to the radical Anti- Semetic left hoping to when the shooting starts he would be labeled a good Jew and spared. Wrong Ari, they will shoot you and your family first and make a lampshade out of your kid's skin. Secualr American Jews = Deathwish Jews

“To hear Republicans tell it, they are waging a virtuous campaign to crack down on rampant voter fraud a curious position for a party that managed to seize control of the White House in 2000 despite having lost the popular vote.”
WOW! Absolutely breathtaking! Did they just completely forget the electoral college or did they intentionally demagogue this issue? Never mind! I know the answer! The Republicans “seized control” as if it was illegally done! WOW!
JUST WOW! How does one get retribution for such a pack of lies like this being prominently displayed at the checkouts?
WOW!
This article is one lie, demagogue, deception and fraud after another - non-stop
