As long as you're demanding polling evidence, you should find the just released National Review Online poll, where she beat Rick Perry by something like 52%. That was a poll of conservative voters, and the participation was massive - about 30,000 I believe the article said.

You know that's not a real poll right? It isn't even a good non scientific poll. Go to National Review home page, vote for Palin, delete Cookie, refresh, vote for Palin, delete Cookie, refresh, vote for Palin, rinse and repeat for days on end if you like.

Online polls like this are utterly worthless and 100% unscientific. Any candidates supporters can simply encourage their friends or people who hang out on the same website to spam vote them endlessly.

As Governor Palin said in her speech today, "Polls are for strippers and cross-country skiers."

Yes, the polls are for strippers thing has been said a million times before. People always belittle polls when they show something they don't like. It's not new and because Governor Palin said it does not make it any more compelling or accurate.

Do you honestly believe that Palin supporters are the type of people who sit at their computers, dishonestly gaming online polls? If they were, she'd win every one of them, hands down. Well, she doesn't, so there goes that little theory.

People always belittle polls when they show something they don't like.

Conservatives didn't care much for how Ronald Reagan polled against Carter in the run-up to the 1980 election, either. He was behind Carter around 30 points for months and months. How accurate would you say those polls were?

The polling business is corrupt. Those who operate it, let just enough truth in to maintain the appearance of credibility. As the 1980 election proved, they're anything but credible.

There are lots of other ways to measure and gauge voter opinion. You'd be better served if you used them.
