Top Obama bundler George Kaiser made multiple visits to the White House in the months before the company was granted a $535 million loan from the government. iWatch News reported, via Free Republic:
The i Watch News investigation confirmed that at least 18 other bundlers have ties to businesses poised to profit from the president’s political agenda, through stimulus money, government contracts, or other spending to promote clean energy technology or green development.
Oklahoma billionaire investor George Kaiser is one. A longtime Democratic donor, he is a big financial backer of a company that in March of 2009 won a $535 million loan guarantee [19] from DOE for a solar plant in Silicon Valley. He had multiple visits to the White House in the months before he was awarded the contract. Kaiser has not responded to interview requests from iWatch News.
This doesn’t look very good considering it was widely known that Solyndra was in deep economic trouble and had negative cash flows since its inception.
Kaiser says he did not use political influence or talk to administration officials about a massive government loan to Solyndra.
What’s all the fuss about a “$535 loan”? Geez, let me pay it back, and shuddup!

$535 is an error. The loan was for 535 MILLION.

The result would have been the same if Solandra was making unicorn farts for sale. It was all a crack pipe dream.
If the theft of $535,000,000 in taxpayer money weren't enough, the crony capitalism and political favoritism so vividly on display here should be prosecuted.
0zero likes to rail on and on about "tax breaks for billionaires". Something legal with jail time should be done about his political "tax monies for billionaire bundlers" so vividly on display here.
But don't expect any prosecutions from this Justice Department. They're too busy taking down Gibson Guitar. It will have to wait until after 2012 when a new sheriff comes to town. Hopefully, the statutes of limitations won't too soon run out on this theft and fraud of our money!

The question is, who in the White House “intervened” on Solyndra’s behalf, and got that loan approved in record time by the Energy Department, before they had even been vetted in any way as a viable business??
The other question: Is there enough room under Obammy’s bus for SECENG Steven Chu??
Steven Chu is likely in this up to his eyeballs, but he only does what he is told to do on something like this, and this has Premier Hussein’s fingerprints all over it. Would it not be interesting to find out that former Green Jobs Czar Van the Red Jones was in this up to his eyebrows as well...??
Heads are going to roll over this because there is no frickin’ way that over half a billion dollars just goes up in smoke this spectacularly without direct and fairly immediate consequences, politically and legally.
Lets see where this one goes. Its never the original problem that causes as much trouble as the (attempted) coverup does; and considering what rank amateurs we are dealing with in this Regime there is no telling what is going to suddenly come to light if the right guilty party gets squeezed.

It was for this reason the federal loans were granted. The hope was for a breakthrough, a nudge just enough to make a difference to transition to profitability. Private market based capital was not available so to accomplish the green dream. a big loan was required.
Or was it? Where is the money? How much ended up in Democrat election war chest? Obama alone is said to have a billion. The green job fiasco was a money laundry converting taxpayer money to lavish campaign jobs
