After 46 years of consistent failure, the federal government needs more money to spend on its favorite social engineering programs. It needs more power to micromanage our lives in the Heartland.

A skeptic might conclude that Washington (a.) doesn’t have a clue, (b.) never had a clue, (c.) can’t solve the problem, and (d.) has been forcing us to pretend for decades that these bureaucrats are competent in order to extract from us our tax dollars.

In fact, with all the power that Washington has been given to micromanage race relations, with all the money that it has spent on that project, Washington has succeeded in making everyone - black, white, Hispanic - worse off than we were just a few years ago!

According to the New York Times, Washington needs the power to “devise districts and situate homes in ways that are more likely to produce integrated schools and neighborhoods.”

But wait a minute ... just how many integrated schools and neighborhoods are there? There have been integrated schools in America for over a hundred years now. There are plenty of integrated neighborhoods.

If integration was a real solution, then surely it would have worked after half a century of trying it?

No worry. Its not like facts and consequences and results have ever gotten in the way of liberal ideology before. We still have housing projects and welfare in the year 2011.

The New York Times thinks Washington needs even more power to give bureaucrats the right to decide where every man can live and where every child can go to school!

These government schools are doing such a heckuva job under Obama that everyone should be forced to attend one.
