If you look closely at this it is pretty clear the CIA was involved with it. It is unclear whether Holder approved this and CIA took it over or whether they forced Holder to go along with it.

This operation was NOT botched. It went exactly AS PLANNED. Guns walked and there was a body count, just what was “needed” by the scum at the top to get more citizen disarmament laws passed. Only when the field-level BATFags belatedly developed consciences after prior service Marine and Border Patrol agent Brian Terry was murdered did it unravel.
