the elites are incapable of rational discourseBill is right.
And it's a pretty pathetic society that has these moral and mental gerbils for its "elites," too.

If the Catholic Church really stands for decency, it would kick Piers Morgan out in a very public, very humiliating manner!
But the Catholic Church today is a eunich of its former self.

I watched a couple of minutes of this “interview” (”interrogation” would be more accurate), and just wondered why even a wimp like Santorum would just sit there and be insulted by a slimy slug like Morgan.

He may be Catholic but he isn’t a Christian. He worships at the cult of liberalism.

If they asked me a question about my religion, I think I would answer something like “I’ll have to get clarification from my Pastor Jeremiah Wright. Oh Wait! I forgot that’s not MY pastor...”

Agree. They should have kicked out Kennedy, Biden, Pelosi, Cuomo and the whole set of scoundrels.

Santorum handled himself very well. He rebutted the charge of bigotry by pointing out that the view expressed by Morgan was, itself, bigotry.
Whatever one thinks of him as a candidate in this election cycle, his is the kind of reasoned, principled response which must be made to the politically-correct censors of the so-called "progressive" movement.

Piers Morgan is as much a Catholic as Osama binLaden was.
To: NYer
Morgan may be catholic but all catholics are not catholics..
SOme catholics are “roman” others are “greek”.. yet others are “russian”...
And there are other catholics that are not orthodox at all..
Being christian is pretty universal..

This is how the radical nutjobs attack; it’s always with two main issues:
homosexuality (poor homosexuals, they just are so discriminated against)
Abortion-(what about RAPE, INCEST AND THE LIFE OF THE MOTHER)
The questions are always framed around those points: if you are against homos then you are for discrimination.
If you are against abortion, you are for women dying.
Conservatives need to quit being defensive about this! Stammering and stuttering and looking pathetic.
NO...we don’t discriminate. Rectal sex is unhealthy and violates the laws of nature AND God.
NO...we don’t want women to die (and this is where they need to whip out the facts about all the women that are dying through legalized abortion. there are TWO victims: the woman and the baby.
How tough is it to answer with the truth?? Stop saying “I think, I think” like it’s a debatable issue.
Geez

There is a large contingent in our society that automatically attributes certain credibility to anyone with a British accent. Stupid, I know, but especially out on the east coast it is epidemic. Morgan may do a service by example, exploding whatever juvenile premise underlies that prejudice.

He’s right in there with Biden, Pelosi, Kennedy, Kerry, Sebelius, yadda yadda.

Rick Santorum handled Piers Morgan's snide accusation perfectly. If you profess to be a Christian the Holy Bible is a sacred text - God's instruction manual, if you will - and homosexual behavior is condemned as a sin, as is adultery and fornication. To try and claim that 'times change'; as an excuse for condoning homosexual behavior is absurd and I'm glad Santorum called Morgan on that bit of nonsense. I know nothing of Piers Morgan's religious beliefs but his claim to being a Catholic should be followed with the disclaimer 'in name only'. The lefts attempt to characterize Christian's biblical-based opposition to 'gay marriage' as 'bigotry' is insidious and must be challenged every single time it is applied. In this instance, Rick Santorum did the right thing.

I respect Santorum. He doesn’t back down from what he believes in.
He is against abortion in ALL cases, including rape, because, if the rapist won’t be punished by death, why should the child?
