Call it what you like, but Palin has been as viciously attacked on Free Republic as at any no-holds-barred liberal site on the net, despite the founder's statement that "FR is Palin Country", and despite the fact that this is supposed to be a conservative meeting place.
You would think that vile attacks against one of the nation's leading conservative patriots would simply NOT be tolerated here, but such is the depth of Jim Robinson's forebearance with fools and the befuddled.

The trashing of Perry and others is worse.
No one is attacking her. Arguments contrary to her generally spring up in response to other conservatives getting trashed.

I would say that 99% of those on the board, like her in some context.
Every thread about other candidates, get turned into some bizarre NBP trashfest.

Oh piffle. Unless I have missed a LOT, "vicious" is an inaccurate and overly dramatic way to portray honest differences of opinion. The reactions I see from such statements of difference resemble how I would reply to attacks on my wife or my Mama.
I call your attention to more than one post which has stated that if Sarah does not get the nomination, they vote third party or sit out. Sorry, but crazy talk like that does stick to her supporters, unless they disavow it and right away. I'm with Levin - I'll vote for an orange juice can against Obama.
