While Sarah Palin continues to stoke the fires and keep people guessing about her Presidential intentions, Republican voters seem to be speaking loud and clear:
All in all, most voters — 74 percent — think Palin should stay on the sidelines in 2012. Just 20 percent think she should run for president.
The groups most likely to support Palin running are white evangelical Christians (30 percent) and Tea Party members (28 percent). Still, majorities of those groups do not think she should run (62 percent and 66 percent respectively). In addition, 72 percent of conservatives, 71 percent of Republicans and 66 percent of independents think Palin should stay out.
Women (77 percent) are a bit more likely than men (71 percent) to say Palin should sit this one out.
Just among women, Republicans (26 percent) are more likely than independents (24 percent) and Democrats (15 percent) to think Palin should run.

That said, I would hate to see what they do to her, yes, even WORSE to her this time, it affects my sensibilities to see them trash such a good woman. She is too good for this, in my opinion.
Two, I think because of the media and all the hatred against her, she would be very hard pressed to win against O. Yeah, I know, the MSM is going to try to Palinize whoever the Republican candidate is, but with Palin they have a HUGE head start.
I love Sarah, but I hope she doesn't run.
Perhaps there is a higher calling for her.. yes, higher than the Presidency. Look at Rush, he has probably been as influential as any President in his time.
You do realize that Sarah Palin is also an employee of Fox. She makes $1,000,000 per year for her 5-10 minute comments a few times per week.
Palin would make a great energy secretary. She quit the governorship. You can’t do that for any reason.

So I guess Rick Perry shouldn’t run because if he wins he’d have to quit. Remember you said for any reason.
IMO, I don’t think $arah want$ to let go of the perk$ of her celebrity myself. I just think she’s yanking chains to keep the $$$$$$$$ flowing in.
BS The liberal agenda is pushing Huntsman, Romney or Paul NONE of whom can beat obama. The left is vitriolic towards Palin precisely because she can beat him. It is her primary process to lose, if she decides to run.

Apparently, 28% of Tea Party members want her to run, and 66% do not want her to run.
My only agenda is to make sure Obama isn’t re-elected.
I like the lady a lot. Unusually for a politician, I am willing to trust her too, though as you may have noticed from my posts, Perry is my most likely nominee - and far more likely to win.
My ideal is Perry, who has a massive amount of experience, though yes, he comes with skeletons in his closet like any pol who has actually had to work with his opponents, with strongly conservative senators and congresscritters to keep him on the path. VP, I simply don’t have enough information as yet to even take a wild stab at who would be appropriate.
Maybe a cabinet post for Palin - a lot of people have said energy, though I think she’d shine as Secretary of State - to get rid of the one real and uncontestable charge against her, her relative lack of experience.
OK, you can say it doesn’t affect me, living over here, but the admitted leader of the free world certainly does affect me! I am living now in the country you WILL live in if you have 4 more years of the Dems. I’d not wish that on my worst enemy.
And I do honestly think that, irrespective of who gets the nomination for president, conservatives should be out there, hitting the streets, polling and persuading to get the strongest conservative they can into the house or the senate this time round.
She doesn’t jerk my chain, I just think she’s not qualified to be POTUS and we can’t afford having someone on the general ticket who consistently polls losing to 0bama by double digits.
This election is critical, we have to oust the marxist dictator wannabe in chief. We also need someone in office who is up to the job with real experience not someone who only served a half term in which part of that time was on a campaign trail. When she lost the VP election, she was’t too happy with the job she was elected to do.

Because I am not aware that I implied that anyone was forbidden in the race. I was responding to the questionable survey that claims 70% do not want her to run which is foolish over a year from the general election and six months from the primaries. Its a stupid question to ask and even more idiotic to report.
Every election is critical. I think it’s more important that we capture the Senate and retain the House.
I guess Perry isn’t very happy with his job either, since he’s decided to run for president.
The timelessly charming Joeseph Stalin put it succinctly. "Ideas are more dangerous than guns. We don't allow our enemies to have guns, why should we allow them to have ideas?"
The internet is turning that dictum on its head. People without guns are becoming armed with dangerous, non-state media approved ideas. Even in a relatively free society like America, it's become possible to bring down establishment information gatekeepers like Dan Rather. Or drop the hammer on actual leaders, like Drudge did on President Clinton with the Monica Lewinsky scandal. Even our 'free media' wouldn't touch those stories out of editorial bias. Now they have to.
Back to the more civilized lands of Europe, I'd hazard a guess that this process is still in it's infancy compared to what we've done in America because Europeans are largely trusting of their governments and state media. Probably for cultural reasons, it's easy to overlook the significance of a resistance media. In less developed places like Egypt, Tunisa or Syria, a bit of internet counter-media information flow goes a long, long way to countering politically fragile dictatorships.

I don’t think the poll is so far off. 26% can’t wait to be in the fray while 74% hide their peestains in the crowd and wish it would all go away. Street wisdom is wisdom everywhere.
The numbers are accurate, what they don’t forecast is, when you kick ass, how many wilting violets suddenly get tigerish and swear they had your back all along.

Nice summary of how I think a lot of conservatives feel. It would explain the rising “don’t run” numbers for Palin. It would not be a good thing to have 3 (Perry, Bachmann, Palin) conservatives running against Romney in open primaries. Nothing good can come of that. Conservatives need to pick our horse and ride it here pretty soon. Otherwise a RINO could slip by. That’s certainly what the party establishment wants.
I agree 100% about getting the senate and keeping the House. If we had control of the Senate now that traitor would have been impeached. The lesson learned in the 2010 elections is to pick the most conservative person who is electable. Think Angle in Nevada.
Perry’s been in office since 2001 as the governor. Maybe since he’s actually having to fight the 0bama War on Jobs/Texas regime is one reason why he’s getting in the race.
Perhaps, stuff like this is what pushed the decision to run.
