Nader proposes new model to challenge Obama, threatens to throw primary process into chaos 50 mins ago
Consumer advocate Ralph Nader, whose third-party presidential candidacy some Democrats credited with handing the 2000 election to George W. Bush, has a new model for challenging President Obama from the left in 2012.
Nader proposes to assemble a large group of Democratic candidates to take Obama to task on a variety of issues.
The press would ignore one lesser-known candidate, Nader told The Daily Caller, but an unorthodox slate of candidates would attract more attention.
So you have to have several people of distinguished backgrounds different distinguished backgrounds run as a slate in various primaries so that he cant ignore someone who has a military-foreign policy background, environmental background, poverty-labor background. See what I mean? Nader explained.
Multiple candidates would also be more powerful, he declared.
Nader said he was hesitant to support the candidacy of former Alaska Sen. Mike Gravel, who told TheDC in early August that he would enter the primary if supporters raised $1 million. (RELATED: Gravel names his price: $1 million to challenge Obama)
I had good things to say about him in 08, but right now Im focusing on this slate idea, Nader said. He could run against Obama and the press completely ignores him and he doesnt get any debate with him.
He continued: It doesnt work because he can be completely marginalized. Were not interested in just having someone on the ballot who doesnt get a paragraph in the press. And he knows what thats all about. Hes experienced it.
In July, Vermont independent Sen. Bernie Sanders said during a radio interview that I think it would be a good idea if President Obama faced some primary opposition.

nader is about to get the race card played on him.
Ralph Nader used to be a nut when compared to the democrat party. Now he seems reasonable compared to this bunch.
In either case, RUN Ralph RUN.
comrade obama has problemas.
Nader is a socialist and a racist. Still, I hope he can succeed in pulling some votes from lefties who are stupid enough to vote for him.
I want some primaries entertainment on the left. This would provide it.
An interesting point is Obama got an early start working with NYPIRG, a Nader group supposedly student run but really following the Nader line down the line.
I was familiar with PIRG in that time period, the staff people were 100% leftist and many later made their money in the democrat party (like Obama).
An idependent Ralph Nader-Ron Paul ticket might be entertaining
Who says the guy never did anything good for the country.
If Al Gore enters the Dem primary then Perry might endorse him!
/s/
———Al Gore will enter the Democratic primary-——
In so doing he will become a bonefide loser and the 2000 loser question will be answered forever
You know what would be fun?
If Algore, sharpton, jessie, nader, hillary, keith overbite, Bill clinton, louie farakhan, and van jones all got into the race to be the marxist candidate.
That would be fun to watch.
Don’t forget Dennis Kucinich (sp?)!
Waters, mckinney, michael moore-on, kookcinich, rosie o’donuts, “special ed” schultz, etc.
Real easy to come up with a list
Popcorn.
