The news of Governor Rick Perry jumping into the Republican nomination race for President, released a media tsunami that assaulted my brain. In no time at all, people came up with a long list of negatives about him. In a democracy, honest and thorough scrutiny of anyone's records seeking a public office is not only the prerogative of the electorate, but it is its duty.
Unless someone can come up with solid evidence to the contrary, I feel relieved that Governor Perry is not an Islamophile, he is not even an Islamic apologist, and he can be entrusted with the responsibility of guarding our nation's priceless heritage of liberty against the assaults of Islamic fascism.

Here are just a few quotes from the Koran. This is the base of their religion. The directives they are given from their Holy Book. All Muslims use this as the BASE of what they are to believe and DO. EVERY Muslim must abide by these directives. Can you find anything moderate??
Have no unbelieving friends. Kill the unbelievers wherever you find them. 4:89
When you fight with disbelievers, do not retreat. Those who do will go to hell. 8:15-16
Those that the Muslims killed were not really killed by them. It was Allah who did the killing. 8:17
Those that the Muslims killed were not really killed by them. It was Allah who did the killing. 8:17
Fight the disbelievers! Allah is on your side; he will give you victory. 9:12-14
The "Religion of Truth" (Islam) must prevail, by force if necessary, over all other religions. 9:33
Fight the disbelievers and hypocrites. Be harsh with them. They are all going to hell anyway. 9:73
Fight disbelievers who are near you, and let them see the harshness in you. 9:123
If you refuse to fight for Allah, he will punish you with a painful doom. 48:16
Those are tenants that all Muslims must abide by.
Asopposed to our penchant to bankrupt ourselves through profligate spending on Obamacare and Social Security. Or illegitamacy rates over 50% in our minority communities that destroys families. I think your right, the less than .5 million Muslims from what appears to be a legitimately peaceful sect will be our downfall.
Secularism in our govt and schools is killing this country. (by twosword)
Response by you:
Exactly,... The founding fathers were so stupid with all their separation of church and state crap.
Now you are either incredibly ignorant/stupid or a sh*t disturber troll.
I think it's the latter. Word of warning...watch out for the viking kittehs; they will sure be watching you.
We have a new one here that believes:
The founding fathers were so stupid with all their separation of church and state crap.
Cynicalbare verifies two truisms: ACTIONS SPEAK LOUDER THAN WORDS and THOU DOST PROTEST TOO LOUDLY.
Thanks for proving my point.
No such thing, but thanks for playing. Separation of Church and State was derived from one sentence in a letter sent by Jefferson to a church. All the Founding Fathers said was that the govt shouldn’t make a state religion.
So you signed up just to say something exceedingly DU Troll stupid, did ya!
Look up “acculturation.” It is another useful word.
RINO Mitt Perrys opposition to sanctuary cities might mean something to a Perry apologist like you but to thinking persons its a fraud as is most of his record.
RINO Mitt Perry signed on to amnesty in 2006.
You RINO Mitt Perry apologists can discount that and no doubt will. But those of us not willing to forgive RINO Ricks extensive pro-ILLEGAL alien past know what he stood for then and now is amnesty.
The Comprehensive Immigration Reform Act (CIRA, S. 2611) was a United States Senate bill introduced in the 109th Congress (20052006) by Sen. Arlen Specter [PA] on April 7, 2006. Co-sponsors, who signed on the same day, were Sen. Hagel [NE], Sen. Martinez [FL], Sen. McCain [AZ], Sen. Kennedy [MA], Sen. Graham [SC], and Sen. Brownback [KS]. It deals with immigration reform. It proposed to increase some security along the southern United States border with Mexico, allow long-time illegal immigrants to gain legal status, and to increase the number of guest workers over and above those already present in the U.S. through a new "blue card" visa program.
Comprehensive immigration reform is code for amnesty. It is now and it most certainly was back in 2006. Americans knew it was amnesty and opposed it in great numbers. I find it impossible to believe that RINO Mitt Perry didn't know what he was asking for in his letter that was also signed by 2 liberal democRATs and his fellow RINO, Arnold SchwarzenKennedy.
So I KNOW you are wrong.
Where do you stand on the constitutionality of Saudi Arabia funding Islamic theocracy in America?
I posted the words, you can be sure I've read them many times. This was her 2009 Hong Kong speech.
You stopped way too soon, and ignored this:
the vast majority of Muslims who want the same things all of us want: economic opportunity, education, and the chance to build a better life for themselves and their families."
Do you agree that the vast majority of muslims want nothing more than the same things we all want? Because some here claim that the vast majority of muslims want nothing more than to overthrow our government and impose their sharia law on the rest of us. That doesn't sound like "the same things all of us want".
But what is really interesting is how when Sarah Palin says muslims are just like us, rather than arguing with her, you make excuses for how she has to apparently lie ("parse her words") to be a serious candidate.
Do you have ANY quote of Sarah Palin's that suggests she is anything but welcoming to the average american Muslim?
I believe that statement is essentially true. Keep in mind that most people who have Islam as their religion are as familiar with what the book says as most Christians today know what the Bible says. They are born into the religion and mindlessly follow the rituals. I do think that most Muslims would love to live life like we do. I think they are as naïve about what the Quran says as many if not most Christians are naïve about what the Bible says. The difference is that at some point all Muslims will be forced into compliance and those that Palin is referring to dont understand what that implies.
>>Because some here claim that the vast majority of muslims want nothing more than to overthrow our government and impose their sharia law on the rest of us.<<
Now youre talking about the leadership and those in the know or those who are true followers of Islam. They are the ones who study the Quran and know what is expected now and in the future. I dont think that includes the rank and file I talked about in the above paragraph. This group will be the enforcers.
>>you make excuses for how she has to apparently lie ("parse her words")<<
In the venue she was in she could only say what she did. How could she try to give a lengthy explanation just as I did in that venue? It would be complicated if not impossible and likely would have been misinterpreted. It may well have been a damned if you do damned if you dont situation.
>>Do you have ANY quote of Sarah Palin's that suggests she is anything but welcoming to the average american Muslim?<<
Other then coming out against the ground zero Mosque nothing in particular although I havent investigated in depth. I do know that she has not actively included Muslims in her outreach as Perry has. She has not to my knowledge worked with the Muslim community like Perry has. If she shows signs of including them she would also lose my support.
How many times do you think you can use that ronpaul crap and still be anything close to credible? A majority of your past posts when differing with someone on a candidate you somehow include some drival comment about them being for Ron Paul. I looked back at your past posts and it gets really old. Even one trick ponies need to change up once in a while.
There are very few muslims in Alaska. I think they are just building their first all-purpose mosque this year; I don’t know how muslims meet before they have their mosques set up and cordoned off from our watchful eyes.
I see no indication that, if that mosque had been built in 2007, Sarah Palin wouldn’t have mentioned it positively.
But I should have added that I have no evidence for that, just a lack of evidence for anything different. So it’s speculation on my part.
Or if she mentioned it at all. It would be interesting to know if there was any acknowledgement at all on her part. Any work on the part of those in that level of leadership must be careful when dealing with that issue. They must not openly support the Muslims but openly opposing or working against them is dangerous. The best way to discourage Islamic influence is strictly adhering and enforcing our laws and constitution to give them no quarter for Sharia laws or Muslim rules that counter our laws. If we steadfastly refuse to allow laws or rules other the US law and Constitution they will have no place in this society. Positively enforcing our laws leaves them with no case against us.
