Perry is looking a lot less like GWB and a whole lot more like LBJ.

Or another bigger-then-life TX Dem turned Republican, John Connally. Connally, who was loved by the GOP "insiders" in 1979 (he won an insider poll with Reagan coming in 3rd), is the guy who spent $11 million in the 1980 primaries for one GOP delegate.

Lots of parallels here, as Brices Crossroads and I have discussed ad nauseum.

I was Connaly speak when I was at Samford University in Birmingham. He had some kind of nasty attitude.

Also saw Reagan the same year. Amazing speaker. In a hall full of people he had the ability to make you feel he was talking directly and only to you.

I hope I'm wrong, but I am starting to view the Governor of Texas as a Bill Clinton with his Bible tucked under his arm, sans the bimbos of course. A 27 year career politician makes friends and cronies along the way that can't be helpful to our TEA PARTY cause.

Dick Morris and BOR are totally against Governor Palin entering the race, both citing polls that she can't win and that her entry will only cause trouble for Bachmann. They have both declared that the race is between Romney and Perry, so I guess the others can just go home and Governor Palin and her millions of supporters don't count either!

Pop quiz...what do John McCain and John Connally have in common? Answer: John McCain was Charles Keating’s bought and paid for Senator and John Connally was supposed to be his bought and paid for President. A lot of Connally’s campaign money was funneled in from Keating. I worked for Charles Keating when Connally was trying to get the nomination and it was disgusting. Keating actually told all of us that worked in the office that we would be fired if we had ANY campaign stickers on our cars that he did not approve of and we were not to openly praise any Presidential candidate except Connally. Oh by the way- the reason I believe McCain was Keating’s Senator is because Keating openly referred to him that way in the office. I worked in close proximity with Charles Keating but was a very low level employee...so if he said these things in front of me you can only imagine what was going on behind the scenes.

Dirty tricks such as this and some of the other hijinks Perry and Romney are pulling are the sophomoric tricks of the GOP Establishment. They are par for the course when dealing with these jerks.

Guess who perfected slimy little tactics like this? none other than the arch reptile of the GOP-E, Karl Rove, who brought Perry into the GOP and mentored him:

“In the fall of 1970, Rove used a false identity to enter the campaign office of Democrat Alan J. Dixon, who was running for Treasurer of Illinois. He stole 1000 sheets of paper with campaign letterhead, printed fake campaign rally fliers promising “free beer, free food, girls and a good time for nothing”, and distributed them at rock concerts and homeless shelters, with the effect of disrupting Dixon’s rally. (Dixon eventually won the election).”

We can expect more of this stuff, and I am sure Palin knows how these pimple faced GOP nerds that inhabit Romney’s and Perry’s campaigns operate. They are gnats...noting more. They will not succeed in diverting Palin from her mission, which is to aim straight for the Establishment’s throat.
