The Palin source said O'Donnell's representatives misled the tea party group about the extent of the governor's relationship with O'Donnell.
O'Donnell's representatives told event organizers that she would be in Iowa on the date of the rally and would like to come by and "say hi" to Palin, the source said. O'Donnell was then added to the speaking agenda.
The source told CNN that O'Donnell aides lied to organizers and said Palin had been communicating via text message with O'Donnell about the rally.
"The governor hasn't spoken to her in a year," the Palin source said of O'Donnell

I don’t know how to BTTT.
It also looks to me like (if that ABC article is right; and the author is pretty reliable even though it is for ABC)much of the confusion rests with Peter Singleton taking matters into his own hands without consulting with the Palin people. I know he means well, but he should have left the arrangements up to Palin and TPofA.
LOL...love the pic!
Perry is looking a lot less like GWB and a whole lot more like LBJ.
That's not a quote from "The Other McCain" article. That's a Stacy Drake (C4P) quote.
That ‘Other McCain’ article is reeeeeeal interesting reading...wonder what Perry and Crow were discussing on Saturday???
Or another bigger-then-life TX Dem turned Republican, John Connally. Connally, who was loved by the GOP "insiders" in 1979 (he won an insider poll with Reagan coming in 3rd), is the guy who spent $11 million in the 1980 primaries for one GOP delegate.
Lots of parallels here, as Brices Crossroads and I have discussed ad nauseum.
The fact remains, that Governor Palin herself, remained above all the fray, while others, for whatever their self-serving reasons, wrote about her and tried their best to cause disruption, right?
Also saw Reagan the same year. Amazing speaker. In a hall full of people he had the ability to make you feel he was talking directly and only to you.
Exactly right.
I’m inclined to place 100% of the trouble on Crow.
He had no business accepting COD’s comments for something that affected Palin. He’s just as slimey as Perry.
Thank you. Not a word from Governor Palin herself.
LOL. The lamestream and others with an agenda against her strike out again.
Morris and BOR are not to be taken seriously; they’re both professional liars.
I saw. Dadgumit!!!
Right, with serious chips on the shoulders.
O’Bloviator (spit) is pissy because Palin won’t go on his show (can you blame her?)...somebody should tell Bill that his exhibition of male menopause on national television isn’t very pretty...
At least you could let folks know what you posted is nearly 3 years old.
Pop quiz...what do John McCain and John Connally have in common? Answer: John McCain was Charles Keating’s bought and paid for Senator and John Connally was supposed to be his bought and paid for President. A lot of Connally’s campaign money was funneled in from Keating. I worked for Charles Keating when Connally was trying to get the nomination and it was disgusting. Keating actually told all of us that worked in the office that we would be fired if we had ANY campaign stickers on our cars that he did not approve of and we were not to openly praise any Presidential candidate except Connally. Oh by the way- the reason I believe McCain was Keating’s Senator is because Keating openly referred to him that way in the office. I worked in close proximity with Charles Keating but was a very low level employee...so if he said these things in front of me you can only imagine what was going on behind the scenes.
ROTFL. She’s graced BOR’s show enough. She got sassy with him a couple of times and he didn’t like it one bit. Har!
Good stuff. Thanks. Here’s another one...what do John Connally and Rick Perry have in common (other than the obvious TX parallels)?
Answer: They are/were both supported by Haley Barbour...LOL. Barbour was Connally’s Southern Political Director in the 1980 campaign. Southern boys hangin’ together. :) ‘Course Barbour will tell anybody who’s listening that he’s a Reaganite now. Perry, for his part, supported Ronald Reagan’s opponents.
