On Tuesday, The Washington Post's Felicia Sonmez noted how MSNBC's Tamron Hall moderated the recent Congressional Black Caucus town hall where Rep. Andre Carson smeared the Tea Party by accusing them of wanting to bring back Jim Crow laws and endorsing the lynching of blacks. Former Obama aide turned NBC employee Joy-Ann Reid also attended the CBC event, but omitted Rep. Carson's attack from her report.During the August 22 town hall in Miami, Carson, a leader within the liberal Congressional Black Caucus from Indiana, actually apologized to Hall in the midst of his inflammatory remarks against the Tea Party:

Are they sure it wasn't this Felicia?
anyone who listens to what that jacka** has to say is short on grey matter. He is totally unqualified to be where he is (like someone else I could mention), and has his position only because mama held it before she passed away. The people in her district then elected her son to fill her shoes. She wasn’t much of a rep. either but her constituants would vote for anyone of their own color....never mind qualifications
IIRC Carson was one of the reps who fanned the flames of the “tea partiers spit on John Lewis” lie.
Next event: Carson will report that he found a noose tied to his door at his office.
Those damned tea party racists!
Yep, I suffered under the reign of Julia Carson as my congresswoman. Probably the stupidest person to hold office in history. And that’s saying a lot. Even her supporters admitted she was a moron, but they voted for her anyway.
Former Obama aide turned NBC employee Joy-Ann Reid also attended the CBC event, but omitted Rep. Carson's attack from her report.
Sarah Palin made the statement that Tea Party members don’t retreat, they reload, and liberals went berzerk. Andre Carson and Maxine Waters make racially motivated highly flammable comments directed at one group of people and the roar from the liberal media and liberal politicians against this type of hate speech is . . . . crickets!
A Black man called into the Armstrong and Getty radio program in Sacramento CA this morning to comment on this issue. His “perspective” was that Tea Party members are racist, but that Andre Carson was only speaking metaphorically. The belief in the Af. Am. community in America runs strongly towards believing the type of crap that spews from the mouths of people like Carson and Maxine Waters.
