People have been conditioned for a century to look to the federal government when times get tough..........It was one thing to oppose Obamacare, which is still unpopular. It's quite another to oppose, or put limits upon, the social safety net, which is now viewed as an entitlement and a necessity. ........This is why the Tea Party has suddenly become unpopular.

I disagree, the ideals of those of us who align ourselves with the Tea Party movement have not changed our ideology, nor have we succumbed to the fear that we will starve and die without the federal government to support us.

Even when I talk to Democrats who dislike the Tea Party, they do so because of the lies, not because of our desire to reduce the government. Ask any liberal, and you will learn that 50% of them believe SS will not be there for them when they retire. over 70% of all Americans did not want the debt ceiling raised, they wanted cuts, not more spending.

So no, you are wrong, the reason they dislike the Tea Party is not because of our desire to reign in a government that is out of control. It is because of the lies the MSM has perpetuated about us.

Come next year the left will be so demoralized they will not even vote. That is why Obama wants to start a race war to accuse the Republicans during the primary that they are racists. Sadly for them, it will not work. When all is said and done, unless Obama uses executive order to cancel elections because of the unrest and race war he started, he and the Democrats will be defeated in the largest historical landslide ever. I expect us to have over 60 Senators and a super majority in the House when it is over.

Along with the SC ruling next July that Obamacare is unconstitutional, the left is finished. If Clarence Thomas gets to write the decision, them a lot of New Deal and Great Society programs could be finished also, because Thomas is against using the commerce clause for the purpose of enacting unconstitutional laws.

Just my two cents for what it is worth.

47-50% of the population don’t pay income taxes and most collect benefits and/or services from the government. I can see how they may not like the tea party.

...as long as he isn't a tsar!

Secretary of Rock & Roll sounds about right for Thoroghgood (sic?).

But, how about Kinky Friedman (sic?)?

He needs a cabinet post and America NEEDS him! Heh.... (hope this isn't a double post....can't tell....if so, one post for Thorogood and one post for Kinky Friedman.)

“Conservatives and the Tea Party just need to hang in there.”

No, a response is needed. AFP, the TEA Party Express, any other affiliated group should be out in the media demanding retractions. They should be buying ads in DC & other inner city areas expressing what the Tea Party movement is all about. Lies become ‘accepted truth’ when told often enough. People should not be allowed to get away with such garbage.

Leaving 57% who identify as TP. That is an increase of 20% in about a year. With a 0 loss and a net gain of 10% from the neg we should see TP support at 65-70% by election.
Not bad for an unaffiliated, leaderless, populist, grassroots movement hell bent on getting rid of socialism in all its manifestations and returning us to Constitutional government. This bunch of extremists are already representing the majority and it will only continue to grow.

Tea Party is a political philosophy a mind set not an organized political party.... Why didn’t they ask the real question do your beliefs align more with the ideas of the TEA party or are you a MARXIST ? ....

Democrats are Marxist’s there is no denying it any longer the Health Care debate and Obama’s out of control keynesian economics prove it, Obama and the left are enslaved to the radical socialists and communists in their party. Centrist Democrat is a fantasy.

That’s why there is a TEA party...

Government is taking too much money from the people and wasting it on programs that do not work, are unsustainable and are destroying the U.S. economy, does anyone deny that?

Adm Mullen CJCS said “The national debt is the biggest threat to our national security” Obama is the cause of this massive debt so therefore he is a threat to our national security.

TEA PARTY PATRIOTS...

We can laugh this stuff off, but it shows that the Republicans and conservatives are losing the long slog with the relentless Liberal media.

“a lie unchallenged is the truth”....or something like that.

This is not good for the conservative and TeaParty cause. It also suggests a high level of ignorance for the average American who doesn’t keep up with the news and politics, who can be easily swayed by a stupid soundbite like, “TeaPartiers are terrorsts.”

We are one bad election from the irreversible decline of America.

That sounds about right. It's why the economy went off the fiscal cliff.

That accounts for all the leeches and parasites of the American economy :

Public Union Employees at all levels
State, and local union "Contractors."
The public welfare industry.
The Public welfare recpients the "entitlement" army which pays no income taxes.

I had thought those would total to more than 43%.

TEA PARTY = TAXED ENOUGH ALREADY

The rats know they have this upper hand since they control the news and culture.

But they don't and will never control the producers of wealth; the workers who produce something of real value and generate the funds to pay for every parasite's daydream.

I like Rush but wish he had not used the word “tea” in the name of his new beverages.

Don't be silly!

Rush has had that tea beverage company as a sponsor at least a decade before the Tea Party was necessary.

If the ignorant want to make it an issue, more opportunity for ridicule.

Wait.
Don't hippies and the professionally unemployed drink mostly Tea?

What does this post have to do with this article?
Liebman managed to put through card check by Fiat before she left. Big favor for Obama who was getting Trumpka’ed. This of course needs to be challenged and overturned, but what does this have to do with the Tea Party?

National Labor Relations Board Chairman Wilma Liebman’s term expired Aug 27 at midnight, and leaves the Board with only three Members. Chairman Liebman has served on the Board for almost 14 years after first being appointed to the Board by President Bill Clinton. She was reappointed by President George W. Bush in 2002 and 2006, and was named Chairman by President Barack Obama in January 2009.
