It’s not only wrong on the principle that it is a euphemism (i.e. bull____), but because its actually misleading because very often they have plenty of documents:

By the way, the Obama administration has said it wanted to deport the criminals aliens. Will this apply to Mr. Onyango?

First, its use of "undocumented" to replace illegal would make shoplifters undocumented shoppers and trespassers undocumented guests/visitors.
And in the case of millions of illegals, even the word "immigrants" is a misuse of the word, whose true historical and traditional meaning can be found in a comparison to the word for another type of migrant.
"Immigrants" migrate from their native country to become part of another country.
"Colonists" migrate in another country to make it part of their native country.
"is Orwellian misspeak Newspeak on many levels.

I assume that due to political correctness, the term illegal alien was replaced by illegal immigrant or undocumented immigrant.
We live in a politically correct world. I can’t believe how political correctness has taken over our speech and the written word.

Although the simple act of being in the USA is not (currently) a felony, most illegals are already felons "de facto" due to all the fraudulent paper they have to pass in order to work, buy stuff, etc. etc. Most of these frauds are felonies.
