In the case of a congressman, it's definitely #2. They see the Tea Party as a threat to their power, and are reverting to their race-baiting form that has always worked.

It's MY philosophy that the MORE people there are working and PAYING TAXES, the better for me and everyone else. (Right now, with fewer and fewer people actually paying their own way, it is tough on the ones who DO!)

RIGHT, so.... everybody pony up!!!! I don't care what color you are or where you are from.... get your a*& on the books and pay your OWN WAY!!!! BTW-If you are paying your OWN way you are also automatically supporting at least one 'other; who needs assistance and who can't take care of him/herself.

Excellent statement. And the leaders of AFP, Tea Party Express & every other related group should be out in front of media cameras stating this & demanding that Andre Carson & other race baiters apologize for their lying comments. This kind of thing must be responded to!
