How are Perry fanatics going to defend this?
The same way Palin fanatics defend her from cutting and running from office?
Obama campaigned as a moderate. He didn't revert to his liberal ways until after he was in office.
I would take Perry over Romney, but I wouldn't vote for either of them in the primary.
” How are Perry fanatics going to defend this? “
In 1993, health insurance was sky rocketing. Some of us long wished that it would be addressed by our side. Since it wasn’t, it was Hillary who dove off the cliff. That being said, what is wrong with the true and accurate statement Perry made about rural considerations?
How do they defend that?
It figures PING!
So funny how that’s the ONLY thing Palin haters have is the SAME LINE over and over and over and over and they choose to remain ignorant to the FACTS & reasons....with Perry, at least he supplies us w/new ways to dislike him for Pres. EVERY DAY. If this is what conservatives dig up about him, can you imagine what the liberals will dig up if he’s the nominee????? And believe me, they are sitting on the good stuff till the general.
If Palin did not resign the governorship, would you have supported her if she ran for president this year?
I am a Palin supporter, and frankly, putting aside the consideration of the merits of the arguments given justifiying her decision to resign, it just isn’t that big of a deal to me. I don’t think it’s really a big deal to many who are primarily concerned with stands on the issues and ability to execute.
Perry could turn the Alamo into an illegal alien medical clinic, and they'd defend it.
The same way they always defend him.
1. Claim it is old news.
2. Ridicule anyone who disses their boy.
Rest assurred, they'll defend it.
Shoot, they'll even defend "La Raza."
I like Palin, but she can’t win. The Palinstinians needs to realize that her approval numbers with the majority of public have gone off a cliff and will never come back.
They accuse anyone who blasphemes against St Rick of being a liar.
Of course he changed parties to raise his chances of getting elected.... he’s from Texas, duh....Dems don’t do well in TX....except liberal Austin, and inner cities.
Re #11:
It’s going to be hard for Sarah Palin to execute anything if she can’t win any of the primaries.
"HillaryCare" did not exist at the time Perry wrote his letter. It had been announced she was looking at the topic of healthcare reform, and he wanted to make sure she did not neglect rural Texans (which was sort of his job). Once it was clear what she was up to, Perry apparently hated it as much as the rest of us.
I think he can be criticized for believing it was even possible for Hillary to come up with meaningful reform, but I don't see how can be tagged with supporting the HillaryCare proposal that actually emerged because based upon what I have read, he clearly didn't.
At the time and in the place that Perry was a democrat, there were no liberal democrats. At that time Texas was a conservative democrat place, liberals and Republicans came later. He may be imperfect (which candidate isn’t) but once being a Texas democrat is not something to hold against him.
