Texas Gov. Rick Perry, Democratic challenger Bill White don't oppose Ground Zero mosque in New York
Dallas morning news ^

AUSTIN - Gov. Rick Perry and Democratic challenger Bill White agree that while plans to build a mosque near Ground Zero have stirred controversy, they don't object to a local decision affirming the Islamic group's right to build it. A New York City planning commission voted this week to clear the way for a planned Islamic community center and mosque near the site of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks.

First, to establish their religion in this nation they would have to disavow the following which is only a small portion of what the Quran has in it that is against freedom of religion in this country.

Here are just a few quotes from the Koran. This is the base of their “religion”. The directives they are given from their “Holy Book”. All Muslims use this as the BASE of what they are to believe and DO. EVERY Muslim must abide by these directives. Can you find anything moderate??

Have no unbelieving friends. Kill the unbelievers wherever you find them. 4:89

When you fight with disbelievers, do not retreat. Those who do will go to hell. 8:15-16

Those that the Muslims killed were not really killed by them. It was Allah who did the killing. 8:17

Those that the Muslims killed were not really killed by them. It was Allah who did the killing. 8:17

Fight the disbelievers! Allah is on your side; he will give you victory. 9:12-14

The "Religion of Truth" (Islam) must prevail, by force if necessary, over all other religions. 9:33

Fight the disbelievers and hypocrites. Be harsh with them. They are all going to hell anyway. 9:73

Fight disbelievers who are near you, and let them see the harshness in you. 9:123

If you refuse to fight for Allah, he will punish you with a painful doom. 48:16

How can a nation that is established on freedom of religion allow this to exist?

Your link shows what happened. It does not show what Perry did spacifially to make it happen. Because he did not do squat. However you are automatically giving him credit. Texas does not give the governor much power in our constitution. He was governorn when it happened. Wow ...way to go. Do you think he will get lucky with the mess Obama has plowed up? It going to take a lot of going over the heads of congress directly to the American people. Only one person I can think of can handle that. Hind...not Perry.

I have already agreed to your premise that islam is not a religion/political system that is compatible with Christianity. It has been thus for, what, 2000 years, give or take? The question was and is, WHAT should be done with muzzies in the US? What would YOU do?

what should be done with muzzies? Put 'em under 24 hour surveilance? Deny them a permit to build a mosque? Deny them the ability to assemble? Deport 'em?

No, Perry should do what Bush did, during wartime, and allow hundreds of thousands of Muslims from the Mideast to immigrate to the U.S.

I mean, what's the big deal?

:o

Heh.

Uh...OoooK

I just told you. In order to establish themselves and that “religion” they would have to disavow those portions (and others I didn’t include because of space) of the Quron. Those portions of their “faith” directly conflict with laws of the US establishing freedom of religion. If they are directed to kill those of other religions it’s against the first amendment. That essentially would eliminate them from the US. They will not disavow portions of the Quran for fear of death from other Muslims.

Perry said he thought it was a bad idea to build the mosque at ground zero. What else would you have him do?

I expect him to take a stand for the souls lost there, to say hell no, not on my watch. Anything less is muslim pandering.

This battle belongs to the people of NY and NYC for the most part.

That would be nice, if true. It's not the people of NYC who are for this muslim gloat monument. They are wholly against it. So, it's not a people's choice.

When were the people of NYC, or Manhattan, allowed to vote on it? NEVER!

I remember the day of the attack well.

Everyone agreed, we were all New Yorkers that day, as they attacked every American that day, not just New Yorkers.

Bush the Elder allowed 5000 Muslims to settle in the Oklahoma City Area. That worked out really well.

I bet it did..

Don't feel alone. They dumped them all over the U.S.

We go to war with these religious fruit cups, and the next thing ya know, Muslims are all over the U.S., wearing all their garb and making demands.

If I had my way, I'd drag out all those responsible for this, out of their gated guarded compounds, and deport them right into the middle of Muslim land.

So, you’re saying we should deport all of ‘em??? While we’re at it why don’t we round up and deport all the card carrying communists? They make no bones about it, their STATED goal is to destroy the U.S. Why do we tolerate their presence? Their system, atheism/communism is only marginally different from islam.

You asked what I would do. The same goes for communists and any others who openly espouse anti American ideals. They either disavow them or they don’t get or retain citizenship.

Having said that, I will say this. This country may have long passed the point of no return on upholding the Constitution. I would admit that at this point the most a politician could reasonably do is not give any deference to groups like the Muslims. They could also promote strict adherence to the constitution and American laws. It would be a slow process but needs to be started. My whole point is not to promote those who actively promote groups like the Muslims such as Perry is doing.

There's voting, then there's other means.

The fight, and it is a fight, was brought to the people of NYC even though they didn't ask for it. They, and we, are being attacked for a second time. Bloomberg and his cronies are going to allow muzzies to take a dump on hallowed ground. To call this disgraceful is the ultimate understatement. I know that, you know that, and I suspect Rick Perry knows that. Rick Perry realistically can't do much about it, the people of NYC will have to lead the counter-attack. I hope and pray they are resourceful and successful.
