President Obama said today that next week he will unveil “a series of steps that Congress can take immediately” to help grow the economy and create jobs, his two top priorities.
“That’s our urgent mission,” Obama said as he nominated economist Alan Krueger to head his Council of Economic Advisers. “That’s what I’m fighting for every single day.”
I’m fighting for it every day, the president said, upon ending his nine-day vacation. I’m sure the caddies of the nation thank him.
Obama and aides are working on a major speech for next week centered on the nation’s 9.1% unemployment rate.

Yup. Still trying to figure out how granting amnesty to millions of illegal aliens and their families will help our economy. By the billions that will sucked out of all our generous welfare programs? By the few available jobs that will be taken by illegals who will no doubt get paid in cash, thus sucking more money out of our tax base? By the cost to taxpayers to imprison the illegal alien criminals? By having to cater to those too lazy or too stupid to learn English? By having to hold back our American children while teachers take valuable time to teach the spawn who do not know English?

Obama's "plan" will be a tar baby for the Republicans. It'll be full of the usual Socialist spending pablum. Then, when the Republicans reject it, Obama can run on "I had a plan to fix the economy, but the Republicans wouldn't let it pass!" and the failure of the economy will be stuck to the GOP.

I'm not immune from the occasional bout of wishful thinking and fantasy, and imagine how it would be if the major media covered Obama this way. He would be down to 10% approval inside of two weeks.
How much more damage can this monster do in 17 months?
