Warren Jeffs, the polygamous sect leader and convicted child rapist, is in a coma and may not survive, a source close to Jeffs tells ABC News.
Jeffs, 55, had been fasting for the past three days and became so weak that doctors at the Texas prison where he is serving a life sentence induced a coma, according to the source.
The leader of a radical polygamist sect of Mormonism known as the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter Day Saints (FLDS), Jeffs is scheduled to go on trial a second time in October to face charges of first-degree bigamy. Conviction would be punishable by up to 99 years or life in prison and up to a $10,000 fine.
Jeffs was moved last Tuesday to a solitary cell at the Powledge Unit in Palestine, Texas, because of the large amount of media coverage surrounding his case, prison officials said.

True enough. But he's not been drinking either.

Works for me.
doctors at the Texas prison where he is serving a life sentence induced a coma
Got that? The DOCTORS INDUCED A COMA.
He didn't drop into a coma, they didn't sedate him, they put him in a coma.
And now they are saying he might not live, hmmmm?
Jeffs, 55, who is serving a 130-year sentence for sexually assaulting two of his many under-age wives, had been refusing to eat properly for the past three days while behind bars and became so weak he dropped into a coma, sources said.
Sounds like the “BIG BOSS” is getting ready for a face to face meeting, not that Warren Jeffs “religion” has anything to do with things..
Fair enough. The text I quoted is in the excerpt.
Interesting that other sources differ...
It is...and makes one wonder what is the truth. If the coma was induced by doctors and he is now close to death that is a major issue. But Jeff’s a a loon; he tried hanging himself once and he was also force fed during a prior fast. If he wants to die all he need do is ask to be put in the general population.
Jeffs was 1 of only about 350 Texas prisoners to get *special* protection from the general population.
I suspect someone may have gotten a poison or other dangerous substance into the prison.
He doesn’t want to be the rapee, only the raper?
>>Do you have proof for your mindless accusations? Or dont we need proof since we are on the big bad internet.<<
The proof is that the man was only fasting for three days when he was drugged into a coma. Plenty of people fast for three days prior to having a colonoscopy without needing to be drugged into a coma.
Jeffs is certainly not the most sympathetic ‘victim’ but where this country extends Geneva Convention rights to mass murdering Muslim terrorists and where we give the rights of citizenship away to illegal aliens on a daily basis then it follows we should give Constitutional rights to a US citizen.
>>I am not making this up.<<
No offense intended, but if you wish to make the point that you’re not ‘making this up’ then kindly cite your sources when you post something like this that is not entirely common knowledge.
(-;
lol! Apparently not. I don't think he really wants to die either. That's what he said, anyway, after his failed suicide by hanging.
Bah Bye to another inconvenient member of the perfect society!
Great news.
It will save TX taxpayers a lot of money keeping this useless waste of skin alive.
I hope they clean out the entire rats’ nest from whence he sprung.
Who said anything about murder?
Apparently it was self-inflicted. I have no problem with people offing themselves, prisoner or not.
Me neither, especially such stellar citizens.
But according to the excerpt, the doctors put him into a coma and think he might die.
They didn’t just sedate him. They put him in a coma.
Anyway, lots of discussion on the comments to this thread. Sorry I jumped on you.
