No you didn’t. You paid a life time of work for those receiving the benefits while you were working. Hopefully, your kids and grandkids will be willing to work their lifetime to provide the same benefits to you. (or hopefully not....)

So did I, and I'm sick and tired of being told on FR that I shouldn't get the benefits I PAID FOR because the gov't was dishonest. I still paid! We pay a monthly premium for Medicare, too, like anyone else who has health insurance pays a premium. Some people use more than they paid, some people less. I've paid $6,000. in Medicare premiums just out of my SS, no other coverage, in the last 5 years and not used a penny of it. Some have paid that much and used more than that. Just like other health insurance. But we should not have this insurance we pay for twice because we're no longer working?

I sometimes think the death panels will be a success with support from people on FR.
