In his writings and speeches before he entered the race, Perry shared the view, widely held among conservatives, that Bush’s government spending habits in office were a betrayal of the GOP’s core fiscal principles.

And yet, Rick Perry supported TARP, and, more recently, raising the debt ceiling by $2.4 TRILLION dollars.

If there's a disconnect between campaign rhetoric and reality, I'll believe the reality every time.

Those buying the fantasy of a vast divide between Bush and Mitt Perry need to take a look at Perry’s campaign team.

Not to mention the Texas state budget went from $49 billion to $90 billion under “smaller government” Rick Perry’s watch, when the population only increased by 25% in that same period.

Please provide a source for your assertion that he supported TARP and raising the debt ceiling.

I say he supported neither:

“We are fed up with bailout after bailout and stimulus plan after stimulus plan, each one of which tosses principle out the window along with taxpayer money. We can’t even keep up with all the spending, be it the $700 billion Troubled Asset Relief Program (TARP), the auto industry bailout, the AIG bailout, or President Obama’s failed $787 billion ‘Recovery Act.’ The list goes on and on.” “Fed Up!” page 5

Which candidate is your political party pushing again? Do they have a snowball’s chance in Hades of winning?

I’m hitting and running this at the Library right now, so don’t have time to read further, whether you’ve been corrected or not. Rick Perry would not have signed the debt ceiling bill. Said so. Multiple sources all over the net. Google it. Somehow, you got false information.

You don’t support any of the Republican candiidates, so why should we care what your opinion of them is?
