To be fair, no matter the color or gender, every ‘conservative of the moment’ eventually gets torn to shreds here at FR.
Except Sarah Palin, of course. Her endorsement of John McLame was out of “loyalty”, no matter how destructive McLame as been to this country as a US senator. I’m not sure why you chose to focus on color of skin, because if Reagan were running this year, there would be FReepers ripping him to shreds while still holding a candle for Sarah Palin.
Except Sarah Palin, of course.
Yes, of course. NO one EVER makes untoward or mean comments about Sarah Palin on Free Republic. (rolls eyes...)
But the problem is they have in the past supported proven lightweight righties like Powell and Rice and Steele just for being black..hence why I mentioned their race.
I also think Cain and West even if somewhat deserved get special bumps for skin color.
This is simply my opinion...as an 11 year vet here..but I think most freepers even if they eschew affirmative action and other race quota stuff as a rule...especially if from up north or out west harbor essentially the same views on race that liberal whites do.
Exceptions would be Detroit and Cleveland whites...and a few others who have real time experience.
We do the same thing with other minorities..like latinos even though we know the more and more of them will kill us voting wise...for years here it was almost verboten to oppose amnesty as racist even though they vote 70-80% Democrat
Just my opinion but freepers are naive or just scared into giving the “good manners” answer on any race question even if in their hearts they suspect the facts don't support it
I'm southern from the blackest state in the Union and older..and am not bound by such doomed idealism
