WASHINGTON (AP) -- President Barack Obama says that while Tropical Storm Irene is weakening, it is still a threat to those communities in its path.
Speaking from the Rose Garden, Obama says the public is still at risk of flooding and power outages.

Everything the administration is doing these days seems to be on the defense and it’s not going to work. This FEMA headquarters bull is just another example.

I watched a few minutes of the “Hurricane Irene” (Da da daaaa) show on FOX this morning. I wonder what’s with all the sign language guys. Don’t ALL TVs have closed captioning these days? Some foghorn politician was blowing off when FNC covered up his sign language gal with the weather radar box. LOL! All you could see were her beady eyes and forehead. Weird.
what is going on behind the scenes while Irene is still hanging around? that is what needs tending to.

He’s probably too busy snickering. One thing I noticed this go round, when it comes to hurricane prep advisories, nobody is more efficient than Jindal. He’s like an energizer bunny and a walking encyclopedia of everything rolled up in one.
