Richard the Lion Hearted slaughtered 5000 Muslims when the tribute he demanded was late. It took three days of head chopping. Hitler, Stalin and Mao ordered millions of innocents executed. I’ll give you that Mohamed, Richard, Adolf, Joe and Mao were all unspeakably cruel. But in every case they were justified in their own minds. All of them believed they were creating a new, better world; as I’m sure this bomber believed also.
I have no doubt that many in the Obama administration, who openly admire Mao would like nothing better than to send conservatives off to camps. I attended my last ever party with the liberal set after Obama’s election. A gaggle of gay university professors were shrieking with laughter at the idea conservatives would soon be hauled off for reeducation. One of them said, “Hell, just kill ‘em all!” That’s when I left.
I’m saying that this kill-‘em-all attitude isn’t exclusively Muslim or exclusively distant in ancient times.
Agreed, General, but Richard Coer de Leon was over 800 years ago and Western Civilization does not applaud his perfidy. Certainly you and I don’t.
Hitler was crushed and his totalitarian, world enslavement and conquest was utterly discredited by Western Civilization.
Even in China, Mao’s widow and the “gang of four” were sentenced to death for their crimes after the lunatic Mao died.
What I’m saying is that in Western Civilization, we recoil at these criminals. We revile them. We reject them. We despise them.
We would say that Richard’s treatment of the Mohammedans was tyrannical, cruel, and barbaric, but that was, after all, 800 years ago.
Mohammedans have been doing that sort of thing now for 1400 years. Demonstrably longer than any other religious or political cult by at least an order of magnitude.
Among the Mohammedans, Mohammed’s cruelty and perfidy, which makes that of Richard Coer de Leon shrink to statistical insignificance, is lauded and trumpeted to this day, leading to endless barbaric savagery.
