Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker, the Milwaukee Parental Choice Program, and the students and staff at Messmer Preparatory Catholic School were all targets of an obnoxious protest on Friday, August 26, 2011.
From this report by the MacIver News Service, it is clear the protesters (Union members, socialists, MPS officals, liberal activists) could learn a lot by emulating the behavior of the children inside the school.
I watched this at Hot Air - it put me in a bad mood for hours... thankfully I have the option to keep these wackos away from my kids.
It’s important to expose them though.
Surprise or not surprised that the union police would let the disrupt a childrens school.
That should be required watch for anyone voting in elections in Wisconsin. What a group of DOPES doing the protests...and they want to teach children?
The thugs marching outside this civilized school are the people teaching 85% to 90% of our nation’s children. No! Your child’s government school teachers are not different.
Thus they revealed in one shot both their own bigotry about urban folks and their bigoted presumptions about rural folks' supposed bigotry.
Adults playing political games using other peoples innocent children as pawns, under compulsory education laws, for their own ideological and personal financial benefit.
The consequences to the actual children affected was not important then, as it still is obviously not considered important, nowadays.
The original ideal of our mandated, compulsory education system, was to ensure all USA citizens were educated to a basic minimum proficiency level in reading, writing, and mathematics, no matter their parents wealth, religion, or social position.
These people protesting outside of this school are not even remotely interested in the basic universal education rights of USA children.
They want money, power and the ability to forcibly indoctrinate, not educate, our most vulnerable population element. Our children.
The Federal NEA should be reduced to a staffing level of about 10-15 people, most in simple clerical positions.
These people are a disgrace and certainly setting a bad example for the children. I sure would not want these idiots teaching my children.
