You can twist stuff all day but the fact is Texas is 38% hispanic and this place was once Mexico.

Perry acknowledging that constituency does not make him open borders.

And the truth is, it is the federal Governments job to control borders.
Why should Texans bear the tax burden of controlling 1250 mi of border?

magna carta, do you live in Texas? I have a 5th or 6th generation Hispanic family / neighbor less than a block away, and they hate the illegals as much as anyone on this forum. The moved here from kalifornia to get away from the illegal problem. Both retired there, and now they are both working again because they are bored.

Yep. Org.whodat needs to go scream at the current administration for taking Arizona to court to prove it’s the Federal Government’s job to enforce the national borders...oooops DAMN!

In 1960 it was less than 15% "hispanic", whatever that is (they're um, Mexicans - it's a real country and people, just ask them).

As far as it being Mexico, if you think that's an excuse for invasion and takeover, we have a word for that. Starts with a T, and it ain't Tejas.
